Team Canada already eliminated from WJC... what?
Its just because Canada is bad at hockey.

also the Nucks are so gawdawful this year that none of my friends are really paying much attention to the league at all this year.
Don't tell me it's summer up there again...Dude, it's 7 degrees there right now.
Making a shift by shift video on one of the Finnish players now. I followed the thread as much as I could and I haven't even really reached the part where the meltdown of Canadian fans began.
A lot of things went wrong for Canada, especially today. On their own end, their coach was unable to make adjustments, and kept in a goalie who had a very bad game. Then some mental lapses of some key players.
From Finland's end... they have a very good team, their coach changed goalies after Canada scored their third, and key players stepped up.
Three of the top prospects in the draft are from Finland: Puljujarvi, Laine, and Juolevi. Each of them had three points in this game.
Juolevi would look perfect on the Kings' blueline. Too bad they won't be in any position to select him in the 1st round.
Jonathan Druined.
F'ing ridiculous. He isn't really going is he? I know a lot of the voting for him was driven by east coast media aholes.
Stamkos likely and Drouin on the outs. What a mess for a team that's not even a year removed from the SCF.

While this is true, Tampa Bay's follow-up season to appearing in the SCF can't come close to comparing the mess/drama/pain that the Kings suffered in their follow-up season to appearing in the SCF, just last year.
I don't think it's remarkable. A good team playing well shouldn't be a surprise.Having said that, the Kings' remarkable recovery season is beautiful to behold.

I am guessing that you haven't been watching this "good team playing well" for the past several seasons, because it's been six years since they have been this high in league standings this deep into the season.
So yes, to me, it's pretty remarkable how consistently good this team has been this season.
I don't think it's a surprise they're doing well. Missing the playoffs was good for them I think.
It it somewhat surprising they have the 3rd best record in the NHL, but calling it "remarkable" makes it sound like it's totally far fetched.
How about: "The Kings surprising recovery is beautiful to behold." ?
Happy now?
