This is a pure depth move as our D group is depleted. Guy has high upside but tons of injury history. If he works out and stays healthy, could be a pretty good addition but I see him playing more in the marlies.
So you have no idea who Timmins is, or how he's played in the past then?
Defensive Game
Conor Timmins is very physical in his own end of the rink. Forwards have to keep their head up on his side of the ice, as he is always looking to make an impact with a big hit. He maintains good gap control, and uses an explosive lower body to just explode into the hit. Timmins is also physical in the corners and in front of the net.
So you didn't see him play this year either?
6'9" centre that can punch and might be able to produce offensively one day.... Yeah, no idea....
Marlies refused to take him back. I just made that up too, but there might be some truth in it, lol. Too big a guy to have around if he gets pissed off at the inept Marlie coaching but I wouldn't have minded seeing him get "Tie Domi level angry" with Greg Moore.Arizona Coyotes have loaned forward Curtis Douglas to the Toronto Marlies.... ok, I made that up, but it would be amusing.
Yup, I think worst case we got a current #5-7 for a guy who may or may not even make the 4th line.At the very least he's a very capable bottom-pair guy 40 games of the season. Traded nothing for him too.
He was definitely well worth the signing. But someone had to go to bring in a Dman. He feels like a pretty good candidate. He was a unique project. Nothing wrong with testing him out.
Can he not trade one of the small players .f*** me he's an idiot.Officially on fire Dubas train right now. WTF
The 6’9 guy who stood there when his goalie got ran, all of a sudden can punch. Noted.6'9" centre that can punch and might be able to produce offensively one day.... Yeah, no idea....
Soo alumnus is like a job posting that requires a college degree for the entry level position, it’s a ridiculous prerequisite but you can’t get the job without it
It is very funny how many size queens are having hissy fits because a 4th liner at best that is big got traded. Can he not trade one of the small players .f*** me he's an idiot.
He's he allergic to a big guy that can fight.
f*** I hate this goof
He will end up in the NHL like Marchment..
One of these days mathews is going to get knocked out because Sandin won't be around.
Agreed. Even if he wasn't interested in becoming an enforcer, they could have given him more than a month to turn into a 4th net front presence. Can he not trade one of the small players .f*** me he's an idiot.

After years of drafting 5'9 players, its expected. Leafs are one of the softest teams in hockey. It is very funny how many size queens are having hissy fits because a 4th liner at best that is big got traded.
lmao is that stat real? I didn't know his fight totals were so low, people are acting like he's a prime Brian Boyle with John Scott fighting proclivity and ability.Guy has 15 fights in 7 years and is a 4th line C in our AHL team but let’s act like we just traded a prime player from the legion of doom line.
Used this for reference; Curtis Douglaslmao is that stat real? I didn't know his fight totals were so low, people are acting like he's a prime Brian Boyle with John Scott fighting proclivity and ability.
after years of drafting a small player here or there mid to late draft (when you wouldn't know any of the available players from your own ass), and the size queens melting down, they've trained themselves to melt down about any trade solely based on the size of the players involved.Agreed. Even if he wasn't interested in becoming an enforcer, they could have given him more than a month to turn into a 4th net front presence.

I think Dubas is a bad GM, but some of you really get lost in the circle jerk.
They gave him last year too. And Dallas gave him 2 years also.Agreed. Even if he wasn't interested in becoming an enforcer, they could have given him more than a month to turn into a 4th net front presence.
