Thanks for supporting the team!

You also know you can just unsubscribe from those e-mails, right?

If he unsubscribes, he will lose the opportunity every morning to think about the Devils and how much better of a person he is because he's a Rangers fan. That's a core piece of his identity that is hard to give up on so I get why he hasn't just clicked the button to unsubscribe.

Nah, the emails are actually worth it, if you wade through the nonsense there are some good deals on tickets. The pre Thanksgiving Leafs game is always a must to see Matthews live.

I think they still make the playoffs but yeah the hot start was a bit of a mirage. The end result is still improvement and achieving their goal though.

Lol this rangers fan is so heated. Posting screenshots of his inbox
More so just waiting for someone, ANYONE to make a compelling argument beyond "Cups". Which I agree is the ONLY argument... for Cups that aren't 20 years past the expiration date.

I'm the only one who has posted any statistic that is worthwhile.

Or an actual good point. That Devils fans jumped the gun at the slightest bit of success. Which is what happens when you go a decade without it.

They indeed, do not know what it means to act like you've been there.

Idk about you but if I got an email from my team even bringing up the word "playoffs" in mid December I wouldn't be too pleased about it.

I bet the players wouldn't be either.
Dawg you can easily unsubscribe as others have stated. Have you never gotten spam emails before?

Anyways, it's not uncommon for pre-order playoff tickets to be sold.

So much time, you mean as in a few posts in one thread on a Friday morning in which I took off work to go to Avatar in a few hours?

It's also been borderline impossible to not think about a team that emails me every single morning. I hope the $1 they spent on buying my email address from Ticketmaster was worth it.View attachment 622407View attachment 622406

Secure Stanley Cup Playoff ticket priority.

Don't let Zdeno Chara get his hands on that email. He'll tell a story on a podcast in a few years how the Devils practiced selling playoff tickets in December.

...so you've subscribed to marketing mailing lists and you're taking that out on Devils fans here?

Y'all got problems, hon.

That is a weird thing to care about considering every model had NJ at +99% to make the playoffs. It is smart marketing getting people locked in well in advance to jack up the demand early. It's not being cocky, it's smart business.

I would say the Rangers do the same thing but since I'm not a Rangers fan, I don't subscribe to their email lists and just block spam emails from them.

You know, like a normal person..

Why don’t you ask Tampa, Pens, Avs, Detroit, Bruins, or Blackhawks fans if they’re impressed with that stat.
I'll be sure to ask them how construction is coming along on the murals of the Kucherov OT goal in the 2015 ECF, the Petr Sykora 3 OT goal against Detroit, Rantanen's OT goal against Vegas, Coyle's OT goal against CBJ and Handzus 2 OT goal against LA.

Cool, so the Devils last Cup win still qualifies since it was 19 years ago!

Most Devils fans on this board have "been there", as I don't think it's a bunch of kids signing up for message boards nowadays. I thoroughly enjoyed each of their 3 Cup wins and am personally more excited that my kids finally get to see the Devils have success as they haven't seen much of it in their lifetimes.

I can guarantee you the players don't give a rats ass about that e-mail. It's not going to jinx the team. It's also not like the team is selling playoff tickets - all they're saying is that new season ticket members for next season will also be given priority for playoff tickets this season if the Devils qualify. What a minute, idiotic this to supposedly get upset about.

Yeah, Devils are not in your head whatsoever...

By your own logic, the Rangers are super mediocre since the ONLY argument is Cups that aren't 20 years past the expiration dates, and they have zero.

Devils have a Stanley Cup win in the last 20 years though, so it might not be the flex you think it is.

they didnt fluke there way to a cup

that was a very talented team
Yeah, that's a stupid argument. Blues had an incredible run in the 2nd half of the season and then won 16 playoff games like every other Stanley Cup Champion in the modern era.

They're not selling playoff tickets, they're selling 2023-24 season ticket packages.

One of the major benefits of a ST package is priority access to playoff tickets. Obviously they're going to promote that benefit, in a season when it looks like they're a lock to make the playoffs for the first time in several years.

This is normal, every team does it unless they have a STH waiting list (and even then, they probably do it to some extent just to extend the waiting list)

Do elaborate. I'm sure Blues fans weren't annoying when they fluked their way to a cup
It was like a week ago a slew of Avs fans tried to dunk on Boston after losing by rubbing their cup in their face. Boston has twice as many cups as Colorado. They legitimately acted like THE BOSTON BRUINS don’t know what a Cup is.

It was embarrassing

Had one of the "easier" schedules to start the season (average opponent ranked in the bottom 3rd of the league).

Have now lost what, 4 straight? Lost to the lowly Flyers. Their huge lead in points has dwindled, all the while the Canes, Pens, Rangers are all putting streaks together.

Now they have one of "toughest" remaining schedules in the league, something like 3rd or 4th "most difficult".

Is this the beginning of the end for the Black and Red?
They were the best team we faced so far (Habs).
