Just a little bit of a regression. Still expect them to finish with 100+ points and a top 3 seed.

It's 82 games dude. Every team goes through its highest highs and lowest lows every year.

Team went through a 3rd of the season munching ~80% of all possible points, the Devils are a good team but obviously not that good that this would be sustainable.

Sometimes you have to lose a bunch before finding your game and hunger again. Let's give them that chance before the sky is falling.

They're still playing the same. Which is pretty great hockey tbh.

Other teams might have gotten the hang of it a little better but they'll be fine.

Probably should rebuild and send their two best D to Buffalo for futures

There was no way they could be expected to keep up the pace that they did. We'll know by game 60 what kind of team they actually are.

Offense has hit a dry spell and it looks like no one wants to take the punishment to sit in front of the net or to obscure the goalies vision.

Perhaps they feel like they have a big enough cushion to not play that way for a bit or they are still hurting from playing that way?

None of the last couple losses looked terrible. Tonights one was probably headed to an OT win for the Devils but Severson gonna Severson and give a breakaway.

This is pure comedy coming from a Rangers fan. One cup in he last how many decades ?
I don't understand why people are calling us arrogant. Only 1/3 Main board devils threads were made by a Devils fan.

One was a Leafer thread that EVERYONE laughed at
the other was someone saying that the Devils were soft and was bumped whenever someones team beat the Devils.

Honestly it feels like definition of Arrogance right now is "a Fan of a team that is doing better then mine"

That's rich coming from an Avs fan. Pot meet kettle.

I’d be arrogant if I were an Avs fan too. Don’t be salty. Let them enjoy their ride at the top. Every fan base would act exactly the same way with such success.

And to answer the question, the Devils aren’t “collapsing”. But this little slip does make me feel a little less confident in them come playoff time.

They're simply not that good. Maybe that's considered a shot at them, who knows. But they aren't one of the best teams in hockey good.
disagree they are one of the better teams in hockey

but there young and there is going to be growing pains

teams go through slumps

Discrediting them because of losing 4 games is rediculous

I'm not even a devils fan but they play an exciting style of hockey

I hate the hf board mentality of trying to discredit everything
