You havent lived if you havent had an authentic deep dish. It’s barely pizza, but it’s amazing.

Authentic deep dish pizza seems like it's ~25% Pizza / 75% Lasagna tbh. Based on my experiences. Great, but yeah...it ain't Pizza. lol.

Anyway. If you guys send out 2nd round pick back, the Canucks would be interested in returning it to send some other contracts your way.

Mike Reilly has one year left on his contract, Forbort or Grzelcyk could be moved - all from Boston

completely unrealistic, but who cares

Swayman, Debrusk, and Grzelyck
for
Mrazek at 50%, Entwistle, Frank Nazar or Ryan Greene, and Drew Commesso

Chicacgo gets three good young players to turn it right around along with Bedard

Boston gets tons of cap space, enough to re-up Bertuzzi, fill out the bottom 6, and a good center prospect, a backup for Ullmark, and a good goaltender prospect to hopefully replace Ullmark in a few years.

Josh Bailey would be a great mentor for Bedard, and he has 1 year left at about 3.5M with a cap hit of 5M. Decent player, still can play top 6 if needed, and he's fine for assists.

Chicago's GM was on the radio admitting to the likelihood they're looking to trade up.

Hawks will stick to 1yr dumps, then sign a few UFAs to inflated prices who can be dumped at the deadline.

So, the first thing you do upon drafting a generational talent is troll the league for cap dumps? Waste Bedards ELC and think you will draft and develop a good team while he waits? Good luck with that plan.

Going scorched earth to get Bedard is going to bite the Hawks in the ass.

They don't have to get no longer NHLer type cap dumps, there's a ton of them who can still play but don't fit on their teams or need to be moved to throw money at other players

Bailey - can still play
Panarin - can still play
Tavares - can still play
Boeser - can still play
Myers - can still play
Mantha - can still play
Kuznetsov - can still play
Armia -can still play in a defensive 3rd/4th line role
Arvidsson - can still play
Petersen - terrible start to year in LA but was good enough prior years to get that contract, might be able to still play
Strome - can still play
Reilly - can probably barely play but only makes 3m
Bobrovsky - can still play/would come with major sweetener if moved

Nashville has no cap reason to move Johansen, but Trotz had some pretty poignant remarks that make me believe Johansen is going to get on board or be gone. He's not a bad buyout price, but they have enough capital and prospects that he could be moved without us really feeling it. He's a fine 2C in my opinion. Fine is another word for meh, ok, or I guess...in this scenario.

What would it cost to take him?
I would hope Yzerman checks in on him if he really is out of favour in Nashville

Hayes, Panarin, Tavares, Carter.

Chicago could get a lot for taking on those. Toronto dpesnt have any 1st left but so may be... I guess.

Sure they can acquire a few guys who are still legitimate NHLers (but mostly bottom 6 even if a couple aren't) but nobody who is going to part of their future. They are going to be awful for a long time to come.

Quite honestly I think there are many GM's who won't do Chicago any favors after they won the lottery. Chicago isn't the only team in the league that has cap space.
GM’s want to win and keep their jobs. Silly vendettas are nothing but internet fodder.

Something around Kuznetsov and Mantha, the #8 pick from Washington and the #19 pick for the Hawks.
Fill in around the edges, but thhis is the framework.
