Would be nice if Ulmer could spell Franson's name correctly..little things like that piss me off. Doesn't take much effort.

Lyles is also not correct either.

You would think someone like Ulmer that follows the team continuously would be able to spell simple names like Liles and Fransen.

Really?

We added JVR whose a mammoth and lost two small players in Connolly and Lombardi.

Lost Crabb but also lost Dupuis, no Army but he was a scarecrow and also never played because of injuries.

Didn't sacrifice size, but team speed is definitely up across the board.

You can tell that he only looks at his position as a job, rather than being really committed like Mirtle, McKenzie, Dreger, etc.

I never read Ulmer's stuff. He sucks.

Agreed though I'd prefer to swap the 2nd and 3rd pairings. Komi on his game with the solid stay at home TWD Gunnar would be a stabilizing force for our potential young 3rd line

I'm not a qualified coach by any means, but that doesn't seem like the right move for a club supposedly going with a youth movement and using this shortened season to develop players.

Frattin does not have to clear waivers.

Frattin does not have to clear waivers.

He also just wasn't good enough. Didn't beat out any of the current wingers on the top 3 lines.

No doubt he's the first callup, and if Nonis ever makes a move or two... moving say MacA... then Frattin will slide in nicely.

In other Leafs news, forward Matt Frattin was absent at practice Friday, which has led to speculation that he has been cut in favour of Leo Komarov, though the team has not officially announced the move.
