When the schedule came out we knew this was going to be a rough patch.

As I see it, too much complacency on this team. Too many players are fine with coasting and not going balls to the walls. In no particular order:
1) Move out Arvidsson, trade, waive, whatever. For his cap hit he is crap. I have absolutely no time for this player.
2) Move out at least 1 regular bottom 6 guy. Show the rest that if you want to be here you need to work, nothing is guaranteed. One of Henrique, Janmark or Brown. Replace them with someone that has a motor and plays physical, a guy like Matt Hendricks was back in the day. Is that Trent Frederic?
3) Get a physical shut down RHD to move Emberson to the PB when we need Klingberg's puck moving and to move Klingberg to the PB when we need more of a solid defensive presence.
4) Add an actually offensively capable offensive winger to the top 6. If we can grab Rantanen while also getting other pieces that we need at the deadline go for it. We are too reliant on McDrai and Connor is fighting it right now.
5) ffs address the goaltending. Right now we are playing like we either want a coach fired or we have given up on our goalies and every bad goal just takes the wind out of our sails.

Those clowns had no problem shitting on Binnington (deservedly) during the round robin of the 4 Nations, yet not a f***ing peep about Moustache. Instead they keep doubling down and defending him. The media in our market makes absolutely no f***ing sense. Good thing Stu's not from a European country, I guess.

Signing the Arvidsson/Henrique/Skinner trio has to go down as one of the worst offseasons in Oilers history when you add in that it costed us Holloway/Broberg. 10 million dollars for a trio of players who barely look NHL caliber most of the time. Lazy veterans who are cashing a paycheck and trying to ride the McDrai train to a Cup while contributing nothing. Foegele, McLeod, Holloway, and Broberg had their flaws and inconsistencies but they're so much better than these losers it's not even funny.

I guess we’ve got 2 weeks until the deadline. If Bowman doesn’t make a move I’m flabbergasted. Feels like we’ve had the same GM this whole time because nobody seems to even see the glaring issue. It’s been insanely long waiting for a legit goalie.

The Ironic thing there is--many called Jackson a genius after he did it. A few of suggested we may have a problem signing Broberg and Halloway--no idea come August 7th we would not have the money for either of them
They literally said and agreed on “a weak goal in the playoffs kills you” while defending Skinner

If the rumour of Binnington being available is true, then you need to make that call. If management seriously thinks our goaltending is ok that’s bad enough. But negligently not trying to improve it is fireable.

I agree 10000% and posted so--I was concerned about money by July 6th we were against the cap again. On the 5th when we shipped out McLeod for Savoie I was hoping that 2.1 was for Halloway.
Like I said in the Halloway/Broberg thread--I believe that thread will out live me

6 mill a year coming 6 mill going out--unless we can convince Kane to wait till the playoffs and then worry about the cap hit next year
we need to get other teams to take them with no retentions

Henrique/Skinner are addition by subtraction and Arvidsson isn't much better either.
The problem is.. do we even have enough assets?
Imagine if he was Russian. Mark Spector would be ragdolling him during post game interviews
The plus side with them is their salary term is not very long. 3/4 years remaining would be a more serious issue. Teams generally know full well if they send out big salary, they have to take some back.
