Sorry, I didn't understand. When you said power forwards you meant power forwards who are not quite that good.

The players I named were/are all power forwards. Outstanding ones. They lasted well past your age range.

On average, better players last longer whether they be power forwards or any other type. Lesser players have shorter careers. So you can cherry pick any group who flamed out at 33(ish) and use them to prove your point. I can cherry pick any group who lasted longer to prove mine.

I don't agree with your initial statement. If you simply said that players comparable to Wilson fall apart around 33-34 it would be a different story. It may be that he projects to fall apart at that age, but it is not because he is a power forward. It is because he is a player at that level of all around competence that tends to go at about that age.
You seriously need to take a break for a bit this summer... :naughty:

If you think power forwards in general last until they are 35+ years old, hey more power to ya - but this just seems like you're arguing for the sake of arguing.

I wouldn't want to play here. Guess it's just me and Bogo.

Nah, I'm with you too.
It's not that I would hate playing here... . It's there's options for essentially the same job and realm of pay, in other cities that are way more compelling. And the Jets are a bubble team too and not a cup contender which doesnt help.

When players come it seems like some don't hate it, ie Nino saying it ain't that bad, or Laine, or Brossoit... But there's just superior options for a 20-30 year old with cash.

The real reason why these players don't want to play here

Maybe they should learn how to enjoy winter

Sure the snow and the cold and the mosquitoes and the wood ticks and the silk worms, horseflies, fishflies and swimmer's itch could be considered problems but what other cities can offer the nightlife Winnipeg has...?
Rae and Jerry's, the Museum of Human Rights, all the polar bear crotches you want at Assiniboine Zoo, Kern Hill Furniture Co-op, the vacant restaurant on the bridge, Rae and Jerry's... who WOULDN'T want to live there

Sweep snow off their vehicles on the way to practice?
The boys are going to either own or rent a place with a garage, they can afford that even with even entry level contracts. I would guess most have heated/climate controlled garages as well....at least I would.

I can't speak for the practice facilities, if they have indoor parking...but I imagine there would be for most NHL teams, because the inverse is true as well...Could you imagine going out to your Audi R8/BMW M6 that is sitting in the parking lot in the southern states heat?
Poor babies from Biggar,North Bay,Novosibirsk, FlinFlon,Moscow ….Winnipeg not good enough for you?
Tough titty:laugh:

You take a break!

I 'guess' San Jose has a moral victory for not retaining too much salary but that's an ugly trade - Montreal will flip Petry at the TD for a 2nd round pick minimum

Grier has now replaced Meier and Karlsson with Hoffman, Rutta and Granlund... should someone tell him that the Bedard sweepstakes are over?

He was kind of stuck in both situations. Meier had a huge QO and didn't appear to want to sign long term and Karlsson wanted out as well.

Todays players for the most part don't care is the arena is full as long as they get paid, frankly some probably don't care if they win or not. As they say it's a business and hockey gives them a lifestyle that they could never be achieved without it.

I thought Meier was fine with staying and Grier didn't want to pay $9m - so instead of paying the QO he's paying Hoffman, Granlund and Karlsson dead cap $11m this year

Sharks are paying a combined $7.5m for guys not to play there this year... pretty sure San Jose is still a playoff team with Burns and Karlsson as their anchors

They got 0 prospects and 1 1st round pick, top 10 protected.

EDIT: Thought you were only talking about the Karlsson trade.
I mean the prospect they got for Meier really is a 4th liner... like if Kupari was the centrepiece of the PLD trade...

Then include a guy that NJD had put on waivers earlier in the season and a D who could be good... but is in the KHL...

And they used their 1st rounder to pick a player who needs a lot of work...

The rebuild is going to last 7-8 years in San Jose - and Grier will not be the one to finish it

Mukhamadullin came over at the end of last year, no longer in the KHL.
