Chevy is a very disjointed speaker. Jumps from one thought to another in a spiff. With that said... im pretty convinced he's on the spectrum...Like Jonah Hill, Moneyball, Genius, Spectrum... The Man may be touched, but he's ultimately brilliant.

I think he was just excited in this one.

Oftentimes really smart people do that. Their brain is processing ideas faster than they can get them out.

Our coach has options now, plenty of them. I hope he doesn't get set on combinations and force them to work if they aren't. He needs to use the flexibility he now has if things don't work.

OTOH, we don't need instant, constant blender either.

Thank god is right. There are very very very very few defenseman in the league i would give up two 1st's for.

I also think that when he says "2 first round picks" he means that to include actual future 1st round picks and guys previously relatively recently drafted in the 1st round. Following the deadline, a lot of teams seem to consider those assets equivalent as long as the 1st round drafted player is within the last 2 drafts. So the offer could have been a future 1st and Roslovic or 1st and Stanley type of offer.

Roslovic is not a 1st equivalent at all. And Stanley is even less than him.

Would Pulock be valued at 2 1sts?

Depends on the 1sts. Two late ones? Yes.

We don't know when this was supposed to have happened. How about if it was just before the '16 draft? The 2 1sts were Roslovic and Jets second 1st rd pick, before it was traded at the draft it was #22 . Roslovic was drafted 25 OA in the most recent draft and just finished a fairly successful NCAA season. Pulock would have been worth those 2 picks, NP.

I'm thinking the Jets will be buying out Nate Schmidt at the end of the season.

Going off of memory, they tried to trade him during the off-season and there were not takers.

At his 6 million dollar salary they can replace him for cheaper, even when taking into consideration the buyout.
