That looks deep to me. Just got to pray they all gel and we regain some more Dec chemistry.

Yup, this will all be for naught if they don't go on a run.

Getting knocked out in the first would be a massive disappointment and should cost some people their jobs imo.
Consensus says the Jets are a better team then yesterday but that mean spit if they don't come together and really go deep, as you say going out in the first round will be devastating.

No excuses. We have a Vezina caliber goalie, a Norris caliber d and a boat load of depth. If we get the Golden cheats then we need to exercise demons and pound them.
I agree with you, but I can see this being a case where they’d leverage the situation as an excuse.

That said, no reason to worry about that yet.

Chevy did his job well once again. He added 2 nice players at a very reasonable cost. Time for it to all come together. Very excited for the stretch run and playoffs!

Our coach has options now, plenty of them. I hope he doesn't get set on combinations and force them to work if they aren't. He needs to use the flexibility he now has if things don't work.

I will generously tip my hat to Chevy.

I was always a fan of his body of work overall, but the last year has been great.

I think the players on the team will be very happy with what has transpired today and this year. Not only did he ink Helle and Scheif, he supported them with Names and Nino for two more years, and now Monahan, Toffoli and Miller.

He's done all of this while managing a team in what has got to be the toughest market to do so in the NHL.

I have no idea how we will do in the playoffs, but if we falter it won't be because of Chevy.

I agree.
There are no more excuses to me. This team is built to win and win now.
They even have a back up goalie that could be a starter on at LEAST half the teams in the NHL.
The west is going to be a playoff bloodbath.

Faceoff, PK and PP specialist - check
Finisher for Ehlers and SC winner - check
Shot blocker and 102 mph shot - check

The bonus is that Chevy will get the 2nd he traded for Toffoli back just for the neg rights to Bross...

Can’t say I ever stress about Chevy being taken to the cleaners on a trade. He has an incredible track record.
This is an a very accurate appraisal. Chevy is the ultimate grinder and gets what is available at his price and hangs in as long as he needs. I've been critical at times but I can't imagine a better GM for our organization.
