I wouldn't say it's likely he's gone, he seems to like it here and is a big part of the leadership group and billeck said he was open to an extension

I remember after a game he said he was having a blast, but still this will probably be his last contract so dollars and term will effect his decision on where he plays next year. No doubt he will attract offers

I could see Chevy doing that. Dumba would be decent depth and Zuker fits the template.

Just guessing of course, but I'm going to call a trade for Buchnevich. His 12 team NTC list might be a problem but he has seen first hand how good the Jets are this season. Chevy also seems to have a good working relationship with Armstrong.

Chevy has a long history of being pretty calculating, the only time I think he made a trade for trades sake was Hayes. I can't think of an example since then.

The Hayes deadline acquisition was actually a solid move if you were going to be a buyer. The problem was his utilization as he was buried down on the 4th line.
