Wonder if bones would give Toffoli a shot on the Lowry line, Appleton is our only bottom 6 RHS right now which I suspect plays into his spot being cemented

At what point do we as a team go all in and make a massive move or two to go all the way like these other teams? I wonder if our front office goal is to just put out a very good team but not risk the future because it would mean a rebuild with no prospects and more importantly an empty arena. Like Vegas don't care they'll ship out everything. But do we purposely not so we can continuously be good, but not legitimate cup contenders?

I'm with you on that mindset - but to be fair there has been some smoke over the years though that Chevy lines up massive trades that always fall through since we reside in Winnipeg/Canada

There's no time like the present.
When was the last time we've had a team this good?
Have we ever had a team this good?
Knock it out of the park Chevy.
Andersson and Buchnevich.

That would use up a very large percentage of our future assets.

lebrun on overdrive saying jets want another forward
Any hints on who that might be?

Forget this year. It's an Oilers Cup for sure. Make some adjustments in the summer and then go for it all in 2025,

Just guessing of course, but I'm going to call a trade for Buchnevich. His 12 team NTC list might be a problem but he has seen first hand how good the Jets are this season. Chevy also seems to have a good working relationship with Armstrong.

The one other issue is his $5.8 million for next year. That is pretty hard to absorb without moving some pieces out this summer. Also that second year might make him less likely to waive as well.

I think you find a way to fit his $5.8 M salary in as it likely jumps to closer to $8 M the following season as a UFA. He is a PPG player that puts in goals from the dirty areas around the net.

servalli reported that blues would eat half to get the deal that they want
That's very significant considering the 2nd year. Also ups the acquisition cost.
