Thank God we didn't end up with Lyubushkin. Not only do we not need any extra defensemen, seeing as we lost one on waivers, but Lyubushkin would have been by far the worst of them all.

he's a sophomore going thru a slump, he will be fine and there is 0% he is availableWhat’s the story with Perfetti? Was really high on him as a C. Has he played any Center this year? Looks like he’s put up decent numbers in minimal ice time. Does Bowness just have it out for him or does he have serious flaws?
Any chance Chevy would look to deal him?
I think Mort you under estimate the value Calgary saw in the prospect Grushnikov who is only 20 y/o and a former 2nd at 48th overall. By all media reports they see him much closer to Salomonsson value than the players you listed. Would you have been willing to out bid them with Salomonsson on the table, because I sure wouldn't have?
Not one bit of trade value in that trio.
lol, calgary wanted a center or d prospect back so take out rashevsky, plus they seem to really value the prospect they got back from dallas doubt stanley would be a prospect they would want and that goes double with lundmark. they were also offered a 1st in package from another team but they would have needed to take a contract with a bit of term, they also could have easily waited until the deadline and seen if another team stepped up with a 1st.
how much of the prospect did you actually watch? or did you just hear about him for the 1st time ever opened up hockeydb and thought that our shitty prospects would be enough?
it doesn't matter if I have scene him play or not, I'm not the one making the claim on his value, I am going off of the reports that calgary valued him highly, the reports that they were offered a 1st in a package, the fact that they could have waited even longer if they didn't actually value the prospect they got back and got more..Just looked him up. Have you seen him play?
I accept that Flames valued him. I can't see why but they must have scouted him. We'll see how he turns out.
Curious to hear how much Texas Stars or Hamilton Bulldogs you've watched play to have such a qualified opinionJust looked him up. Have you seen him play?

He has really hit a wall over the last month plus. Over his last 18 games, 0G 1A and nothing in 15 games. Looks physically and mentally exhausted IMO. Hopefully just a wake up call being a healthy scratched and he bounces back. What’s the story with Perfetti? Was really high on him as a C. Has he played any Center this year? Sooo 0 games? 10?Did you read the post you just replied to?

so saying that we could have easily beat that offer, listing our prospects that have little to no value as better options isn't questioning his value? he's a defensive defensemen... it's like looking at demelo stat line and saying since he doesn't put up offensive numbers he isn't valuableAnd neither am I. I have said at least twice already that I accept Flames valuation on the assumption that they have scouted him. His value certainly doesn't show up in the counting stats.
1st in a package that had some other undesirable things attached is neither here nor there.
Waiting doesn't guarantee more or they obviously would have waited. Sometimes you wait too long and get nothing.

waiting longer doesn't guarantee a better return but trading him before you have to certainly will cost you a better return, unless you know you get a prospect that you actually wanted
He was tried as a center early in the season, but it was very short lived. He then had a really nice stretch playing wing before hitting the skids the last month or so.Is he no longer looked at as a center?
Long goneIs he no longer looked at as a center?
Give me a break Grush has 5 points in like 3 ahl seasons... he is nowhere close to where Samberg wasSome of the scouting reports on Grushnikov sound a lot like Samberg. I remember quite a few that were low on Samberg because of his "counting stats", but he's turned into exactly the kind of big, shut-down D that lots of teams are looking for.
"3 ahl seasons" lol he played 1 game last season, this is his second season, samberg was also older then him when he joined the mooseGive me a break Grush has 5 points in like 3 ahl seasons... he is nowhere close to where Samberg was
So now you're arguing that grushnikov is as good as Samberg... Holy crap you're diving in deep today..."3 ahl seasons" lol he played 1 game last season, this is his second season, samberg was also older then him when he joined the moose
lol, I'm not saying he's better then samberg at all... just the fact that he didn't play 3 ahl seasons, he's still young and he's a defensive defensemen...So now you're arguing that grushnikov is as good as Samberg... Holy crap you're diving in deep today...
If a D doesn't score in the ahl he's nit scoring in the NHL... Samberg at got points in the A
Personally, I'm super high on Cole but I'd be willing to deal him if it involved a long term solution at 2C (not sold on him there, but hopeful to be proven wrong) or a young RHD with termWhat’s the story with Perfetti? He played 3 games at center at the start of the season after Bowness said he'd be given every chance to succeed at center, played very well, great defensive awareness, bad at faceoffs, but was taken off and never got another shot. What’s the story with Perfetti?
