Would anybody entertain a deal centered around Perfetti for Buchnevich?
Actually, you responded to a Post of mine where I had posted numbers on the season. Maybe you misread it and thought I was talking about their careers.

This! Perfetti is going to be a beauty. Patience will be key with him. He'll absolutely be a late bloomer. He's got too much skill and extremely high hockey IQ!Nope. You're selling low on Perfetti and I still have faith in him as an impact player for the long term, especially with some of the Jets FW prospect talent.
In a heartbeat.Would anybody entertain a deal centered around Perfetti for Buchnevich?
You're either a nerd or a dinosaur, I guess. The same people who HATE plus minus.
The same people who say faceoffs don't matter.
If you look at metrics and hockey stats nerds it becomes clear that most of them really aren't literate when it comes to statistical science.
When you take the fact that a lot of its based on bad or incomplete data, is further polluted by bias and ulterior motives (driving a narrative) and the people interpreting the stats are amateurs you can quickly see where the problems lie.
I think there is a 0.0001% chance to him being traded at the deadlineI don’t really like the idea of Perfetti being involved in a deadline deal. We’re talking about a 22 y/o who averaged over the past couple seasons roughly 50pts on 82-games pro-rated. A lot of players who do that at that age often end up star players not too far down the road. I just think there’s too much potential here, still lots RFA years left, prime years still to come, etc.

If the third line is going to continue as the checking line with an offensively inept center in Lowry, it makes no sense to add wingers and hope that something changes.I assume the experts and many fans would focus on a D addition (if the Jets add anyone else).
I wonder if the easiest and least expensive upgrade would be a 3RW to check and add a bit more scoring than our red head can.
That type of player who may fit anywhere in the middle 6 would be another layer of security against playoff injuries. I would think it would be easier to get an "impact" (for that position/level) player than it would be to bring in a D that actually moves the needle above what we already have.
Any trade suggestions that move Lowry down to the 4th line seem very unrealistic.Tarasenko for Montreal's 2nd and the 1st in 2025 and Ville for Larrson.
Perfetti Scheif Volare
Nino Names Ehlers
KC Monahan Tarasenko
Iafallo Lowry Apples
JMo Larsson
Dillon DD
Sammy Pionk
That's a lineup that is swinging for the bleachers.Any trade suggestions that move Lowry down to the 4th line seem very unrealistic.
Bowness has shown the trust and preference he has in Lowry.
He gets second line minutes and there is basically 0% chance that he is moved down the lineup that way. Spend a 2nd round pick (hopefully NOT Montreal's) to bring in a middle 6 player to play on the 3rd or 4th and act as insurance to injuries. That seems a lot more likely to happen.
I think Chevy is going to focus hard on a veteran defenseman at the TDL. IMO we are way to vulnerable to any injuries on the backend.I assume the experts and many fans would focus on a D addition (if the Jets add anyone else).

Would have to imagine that offer being outbid really easilyBuchnevich is at a very reasonable rate for this run and next year... perfectly fits our window and he's the Blues best player
I don't think we need to give up Perfetti to get him but I would... pretty sure you get him for either 2025 1st/2024 mtl 2nd, Kupari and prospect (Zhilkin level)
Lindholm got 1st round pick, a one-dimensional reclamaition forward, two 3rd round pick prospects (one exceeding exceptions and one who may not even sign) and a potential 4thWould have to imagine that offer being outbid really easily
Buchnevich has another year left on his contractLindholm got 1st round pick, a one-dimensional reclamaition forward, two 3rd round pick prospects (one exceeding exceptions and one who may not even sign) and a potential 4th
So assuming we are looking at that level, maybe you add Stanley and a 4th...
murat doesn't seem to think they are done "with plenty of cap space left, Winnipeg is not nearly done shopping."Pretty sure the Jets are done unless they nibble around the edges. Won’t want to give up 2025 1st and Montreal second isn’t enough to get an impact player.
