I'm not really sure what your point is - directed to the "relax guys we're still nicely positioned in standings".
Sure we are. I don't think people here (involving me) start being concernded about missing the playoffs. We start being concerned about going on a similar run like last year, ending up in the playoffs, sure, but far from a confident group, without home advantage, having to play a top team in the first round.
If those parts "fall into place" again in a negative way, just like last year, how exactly do you expect us to get by Vegas or Colorado come round 1? Let alone go on a significant playoff run. You need things clicking and we're on tracking of having the clock fall apart instead of having clockwork run smoothly.
It is' about losing your path. It is about forgetting the things that led to you being the best team in the league. It is about all the things Bones flipped the table on during his playoff elimination presser.
At the end of the day, with 33 games remaining, the Jets are in 8th place overall in the league, only 7 points out of first overall. We have at least 2 games in hand on all of the 7 teams ahead of us overall. The Jets have a 11 point cushion from falling out of the playoffs and two games in hand on those teams at the cut-off line.
Boston is tied for first overall, and they have had 2 - 4 game losing streaks, and 2 - 3 game losing streaks already this season.
Lets all just take a deep breath for a moment. Start fresh on Saturday. The sun did rise in the East this morning despite our angst.
Sure Boston isn't perfect either. And I don't think peopl are panicing about the fact that the team isn't allowed to lose multiple games in a row.
But is Boston atrocious on special teams or struggling to score more than one goal a game over more than a fluke two or three games?
