Just an incredible year already for Andreescu!

First WC to ever make the finals at IW. She joined Serena and Clijsters as the only WC to ever make the SF there. Quite the company.

Kerber in the finals.

Wait... it isn't even on TV? I thought it would be on Tennis Channel since I knew that college basketball would be on all day on the ESPN channels. Lame.

(I love college basketball, but I'm really disappointed.)

This is a boring match. Milos' volleys have been nice but he needs to work on his footwork. Too much lunging and too many big steps.

Milos starts the breaker with a double fault and can't recover. Thiem had a pretty easy time but also played well.

Gotta wonder why Rafa even bothers with hard courts anymore--how many times has he withdrawn in the past couple of years? He seems to seldom see a hard court tournament to its natural end.

Thiem wins the breaker--he had no unforced errors in the entire set.

Probably a good decision, he can't risk further injury especially with his history.
Better for the tournament, too. It would have been an even bigger disappointment if he had beaten Roger and not been able to play in the fianl.

Strong set from Milos, 7-6 (3), about as even as you can get as long as Milos keeps serving well.

Just watched the highlights of Milos' and Bianca's latest matches. The Raonic highlights felt like a recording of every other Raonic highlight pack (no disrespect to the guy), but with Andreescu you never knew what kind of shot she would hit next. Conclusion: I need to match more of her matches, 'cause what a breath of fresh air her game is!

Nadal pulls out of Miami.

Haven't seen who got the WC's but Felix is still on the qualifying entry list so I'm assuming he's not getting one. Qualifying draw should be out today I think. Hopefully this will be the last tournament he has to qualify for. :D

That's exactly what I have been hoping for! No more qualies.

Bianca's match is being live streamed on twitter: DAZN CA (@DAZN_CA) | Twitter

Bianca is up 3-2 and a break. This is the first time I've seen her play and a couple of things stand out, quick, small steps, a ton of well-disguised variety and a high IQ.

Up an early break already , 3-2. Andreescu's shot selection is that of a 15 year veteran. Jaw-dropping to watch.

First set is to Bianca without surprisingly much fuss. Kerber's got a lot of problems to solve with this kid.

Hope she isn't cramping up. Uh oh, Kerber breaks. I think Bianca needs to settle down a bit.

We're going 3. I have always liked Kerber and watching these two is so much more fun than watching smash bash tennis with a ton of unforced errors. They also aren't huge grunters. Lots of variety and lots of pace and angles from both.
