Andreescu did something I find quite rare. For a phenom to win the first set against an experienced player, lose the second, but come back to win the third is a relatively rare circumstance. Not a big thing but it is an indication of the quality of the player.

Chung pulled out of Miami, so there will be at least one lucky loser spot.

Hopefully Felix can do it himself today, but being the #2 seed that LL spot could come in handy.

It's a good response. It's probably very helpful to have the pressure spread across the three. From any Canadian viewer perspective, it would be great if we get to the point where we can reliably expect in each major to have at least one Canadian getting to the second week.

I also think you can't forget about Raonic. Yes he's disappointed in many ways, but he's not that old, and he may benefit from no longer carrying the country's tennis expectations.

A big server like Kevin Anderson managed to take his game up a notch late in his career. Who's to say that Raonic doesn't find a way to do the same.
