so painful, he attacks the defender, pulls a sweet spinorama and puts a dangerous backhand on net, the only forward on the team with the ability/balls to do it, then immediately gets knocked out by his moron teammate and is probably done for good. What a nightmare.
Ya and they're both fighting for the puck like they are on different teams.

Logic suggests this is some other injury then a concussion. They let him back first off. Second, if he is dealing with a head injury which would be multiple concussions in the last year, there's no way anybody would suggest its possible for him to join the team on this road trip.

Or at the very least they don't know.

Put aside any feelings about the kid and think purely business. There's no value to the Rangers in declaring anything. He isn't on the road trip, that's all the public needs to know. "Concussion" opens up a world of problems.

The downside risk is so far greater than the return here, and I'd imagine the organization is looking at it the same way. If something happens to him there are going to be a lot of "how could you let him continue." They are going to be thorough for EVERYTHING. And rightfully so.

This is one of those rare circumstances (very rare), where nonsense like "upper body injury" actually makes sense and probably helps give the team/Filip time to figure things out.

I mean they could put him on ltir right now which does have value for the team.

you knew it would be a when he got another concussion, not an if. he’s one of the most talented players on the team and he can’t stay healthy. it sucks because we’re so thin at C. Without him, the team definitely isn’t good enough to win the Cup. Honestly I’m not sure where they go from here.

I think we know why K'Andre was pinching down the wing. He was trying to keep the play alive. Miller is not having a very good year so far and some of his pinches to keep plays alive are not great but this is also something that most defensemen around the league do all the time. Miller's awareness might not have been great there but neither was Filip's and it's been an issue for Filip pretty much since he came into the league and you can't not try to do your job by wondering what someone else is up to. When it comes to the two Rangers most likely to run into each other unawares those two were probably it. A sidenote--for all the shtick Trouba takes he pretty much never runs into anybody by accident.

I'm sure K'Andre is not happy about it. There's no point belaboring this. The last thing we really need is K'Andre have psychological issues especially when Mika's maybe doing the same. Hopefully the injury to Filip isn't all that bad but the team is going to have to move on anyway.

It must be some sort of odd pathology, because now every time Chytil steps on a lego half a dozen people on hf NYR enjoy popping in and declaring his career is over for the 5th time.

They never said he had a concussion last year either.
