Thunderbirds lost last night 3-1. Nolan Allan had the goal to get within 1 late. Dach and Korchinski were largely invisible but korchinski’s skill was evident. He got caught in no man’s land on a 3 on 2 in the first minute that or so of the game and Quebec was off to the races. Forgettable game for hawks prospects.

Korchinski is wild. Right now he is stylistically like an Erik Karlsson on the CHL. He basically just goes wherever he wants. I know some people hate that but I personally love it. He will need to be taught a lot about positional play and “good stick” play. That stuff is easy if you’re talented and committed.

You’d rather try to tame a wild stallion than try to gin up a donkey.

The Seattle Thunderbirds beat the host Kamloops Blazers 6-1 on Wednesday night to advance to the Memorial Cup semifinal.
