The losing started when our coach switched the lines up and put our two best players on the same line

I can look at it from another perspective too.

Our best players were playing with ****** on their lines and couldn't score, so Sutter paired the one players working, to try to get results.

Our losing started when Jones and Scrivens started playing like Jones and Scrivens.

Winning 1-0, 2-1 and shootout games was not realistic, the teams lack of offense beyond Kopitar and Carter was going to eventually catch up to them.

Pretty much this. The losing started with their loss against Dallas where Jones struggled, and that was on December 23. That resulted in a 5-game losing streak for the Kings. Then they went on a 4-1-2 stretch, and after the loss against the Wings where they got screwed by the officials, the Kings went on to lose 4 games in a row again, all in regulation. After a shutout win against the Sharks, they followed it up with another 4 game losing streak until ending it against Columbus.

It was also around this time where the entire offense decided to go on vacation. The Kings were actually averaging over 3 goals a game in December until they hit their skid.

Our record is 6-16 since the loss to Dallas on December 23rd. I guess you could say it's just a slump, but it feels like something else. Hopefully, they can turn it around post olympics.

Here's a good way to visualize our recent struggles:

If Dean could (and I think he will) shore up the defense before the trade deadline with at least one LHD, it would help the Kings TREMENDOUSLY in the offseason.

Girardi is a right handed shot If I'm correct. The Kings will need a left handed shot once we let Mitchell go.

Regher-Doughty
****-Voynov
Martinez-Greene

Orpik/Meszaros would be a good fit.

I know a lot of you hate on Muzzin but from a scouting perspective, I've gained a lot of insight and realize why he's made it this far. He has his faults but he has his reasons for being there.

This just reminds me too much of Joe Corvo, having many offensive tools but always being good for a couple of brainfarts as well. I don't see how any team can find a defenseman like that dependable because you're not sure exactly what type of performance you're going to get from him every night. He found himself being a healthy scratch during the 2013 playoffs. I've never been impressed with his on-ice decision making. Makes Jack Johnson look like a legit Norris Trophy candidate.

Well it certainly isn't his passing or shooting because he tends to miss his targets or shoot into shinpads, so the only thing left is either his skating (which I don't think is all that great to be honest with you) or his ability to rush the puck up the ice, which is better than half the dmen on the roster, but still prone to mistakes from time to time.
