If you can't see the difference in Mitchell and Greene then and now, you should really go back and watch the 2012 playoffs over again. Scuderi of 2012 >>>>>>>>>> Regehr of 2014. I don't want all three of the shutdown defensemen that are currently on the roster back next season. The reasons are quite obvious.

Now you come to Voynov, who has been playing like crap this season. The Kings can't give him protected minutes anymore, he needs to step up and be the man on the 2nd pairing.

The blaming the offense on Mitchell and Regehr would have made much more sense early on in the season, when they were both struggling coming off an injury. Oddly, as their play have improved, our offense has worsened, which pretty much puts a hole in your theory.

Hey, if you want to say that our lack of outlet passes have contributed to our dismal offense, I may agree with you. But to blame our defense as our PRIMARY reason for our lack of offense, that is just silly.

Does anyone else think that we may be trading away a big name player soon? I don't know why, maybe it's all the negative bashing about some of our core players, but I have a gut feeling either Brown or Richards may get traded.

I hope I'm wrong here.

One would only hope.

I don't sense that, unless you consider Greene a big name. Brown's too good to give up on after his worst season ever considering his entire body of work. Same with Richards. Now if it carries over into next season, then I can see some red flags going up and can see their names being floated around. Voynov is another name too who needs to step it up.

You are. You might just need to use the restroom.

Almost everyone *****ed about Scuderi last year.

The "impact of Skuds lose" has been greatly overstated on these boards.

The Kings are losing because of offense not defense. And if I have to read about Skuds puck moving skills again I might pass out from the pain in my sides....

No, it's because we have Regehr instead of Scuds. Isn't it obvious to everyone?

So who are these scouts scouting the big three are up, (vey, pearson, and tt) I'm sure some are checking fraser maybe some on bods and nic d? Insight, cns, anyone.

Hard to say. A lot may just have to do with it nearing the deadline and teams wanting a fresh look at all prospects before making any kind of move. Either that, or an interesting name was thrown out as available by the Kings, but I'm not sure who that would be and I highly doubt it. I'm actually expecting a good deadline this year, as I think some big name guys will be moved, even if it isn't to LA. Vanek, Moulson, Ott, Gagner are all intriguing players compared to years past where the biggest player moved was a cream puff (Penner).

I remember how much **** he got last year. "I can't wait to let this clown walk!"

This year you would think he was JHC. We have the best defense in the NHL. We need goal scoring. Scuderi would not change that.

I wonder if Dean was talking to any GM's over the Olympic break. If you guys forgot we were terrible before the break.. terrible! I wouldnt mind bringing in Gaborik.

Would love to see Gaborik for the speed and skill up front and Alzner to pair with Doughty in the back.

Gaborik is made of glass. 3 games tops before he'd be hurt, again.

If the cost is minimal and they eat some salary for this year, why not.

Right now the Kings have a guy with 17 points in 60 games and another guy with 1 goal in his past 35 games who we are counting on for offense, I think DL knows he may need to roll the dice and Gaborik is the perfect low risk, high reward guy.

Low risk, high reward? Gaborik is an injuryprone, soft, perennial LOSER. If Lombardi really makes an awful mistake and trades Gaborik, he should be fired. Darryl Sutter and lazy bum like Gaborik, it's really not a match made in heaven.
