Cross fit seems really beneficial, and risky too if not done right.

Can be dangerous if you don't use proper form. The instructors teach that down to the letter but you still have to listen to your body and understand what it's telling you.

Nope. Market for Moulson just softened as Vanek became available.

market for Moulson softened when he turned into a .5ppg guy away from Tavares
I was referencing the first they have. Long Island will likely keep this years as it will be top 5, giving Buffalo another pick in 2015 and it could be a good one. if the Islanders don't defer than Buffalo gets a top pick this year. Win/win for the Sabres

True. But if Moulson is the top rental out there, they get a bigger return from trading him. But you do raise a very very good point about their draft pick.

They will still get a good return on him. I think Darcy would have got more for Buffalo than Lafontaine will.

You guys remember Lombardi's comments after he drafted Hickey in 07 that it came down to him or a center, they chose Hickey then tried to trade down but failed.

Based on some circumstantial evidence I always thought the center was Voracek but maybe it was Gagner?

For Ehrhoff, no way.
For Giordano...maybe, especially if it's deadline and Calgary makes his cap hit fit under our cap.

Toffoli is as close to untouchable as it gets for me. You really need a good return for that guy. His scoring touch is unbelievable and I think if you give him a full season with the Kings on the 1st or 2nd line he is easily going to be over 50 points.

For Ehrhoff, I would definitely consider it. Not for Giordano, though. Can you imagine Doughty paired with Ehrhoff? Woo, baby.

At this point, Toffoli is untouchable to me. I would not trade him. He is going to be an elite perennial 30 goal scorer.

Agreed. The intelligence and puck skills Toffoli has shown are invaluable and we have nothing like it in the system. He's more than just a sniper.

Doughty with EITHER Giordano or Ehrhoff would be insane, but as we had talked about before, getting those guys likely opens up forward holes, and Muzzin looks like he's going to get a crack to be the guy long-term.

Too bad we can't just do Muzzin for McDonagh straight up :P

Edit: Did not know about the Lombardi-Ehrhoff connection. Hmm.

I'm sure Dean has watched this tournament and agrees that Doughty needs an established partner that would play well with him.

Muzzin is a project and if he's staying, he can play on the bottom four. I don't want him dragging down Doughty. Yes, I said DRAGGING DOWN.

I know what you're saying but I feel like this: due to their contracts, Giordano is worth more and possibly could save our season this year. Trading Toffoli for that reason seems like a reasonable thing. Ehrhoff is a big and long contract and the deal could go down in the off-season, if we fail to get Girardi. It's likely Girardi gets Ehrhoff money but UFAs cost no assets. Deadline deals do cost assets because it's before the playoffs.

Giordano is a 4m player for several more years and if he was a UFA he would get at least 6 mil when the cap goes up, easily. He's still prime and is a great deal.

Ehrhoff is also a 4m player who is one year older and has that cap recapture that Buffalo will want us to pay for. His contract takes him way past his prime. Like Gio, he's a good deal for the moment but his prime is one year less in theory. I don't want to pay for the recapture at the deadline.

However, both players have some sort of NTC and for some reason I believe Gio would sign with us due to the Sutter thing.

Lastly, I think Gio is a good, affordable fit for Doughty. Ehrhoff would be more of a replacement for Voynov. But maybe Voynov and his shooting could use an Ehrhoff.

Weighing everything, I want both but Giordano's priority is sooner and we'd have to pay a Toffoli for it.

Do you guys think your team trades Clifford at the deadline? The reason why I ask is that I think he would be a good addition for the Sens and I think we have the assets to acquire him. So if you think he is available, what would he cost from Ottawa?

Probably.

In just about any trade involving the kings, you can be sure that Clifford's name is usually mentioned.

3rd-ish rounder

Voracek's a winger. For certain the center he was talking about was Gagner, who was projected to be a top 5 pick.

I say Voracek because he admits he was visited by Lombardi more than once. But I guess even in Halifax he was a RW.

I must be Gagner or Couture. I don't think it was a coincidence that San Jose of all places traded for the pick to draft Couture.
