Oduya is not coming he s looking for multiyear contract and Krug is out of contract after next season(one of the reasons why Hamilton was moved to the flames) so bruins need that money to sign Krug to a long term contract.

No way they give Krug a long term deal at the money he will be seeking. His bridge this year is over 3 million and most have him projected in the fifth or sixth spot. Yes he is a power play specialist but not worth 4 plus a year.

For me, the FA market for defenseman isn't all that interesting to me. I pass on Oduya if I'm the Bruins. The Bruins being after Franson is also a head-scratcher for me. Say we sign him right now in the $4.5-$5 range, one of Seidenberg or Kelly have to be on the way out. Trading Kelly is not happening. To me, getting rid of Seidenberg to make room for Franson does not make our defense any better if you think having two of Morrow/C. Miller/Trotman in this lineup is a bad thing. The only other player I think could be moved is Eriksson, but if that means Kelly is playing 3rd line LW, no thanks. I would much rather trade Eriksson for a defenseman than signing Franson, but even then, trading someone like Eriksson makes our forward group look less appealing. I honestly would just wait until training camp to see how things unfold with Morrow, C. Miller, and Trotman on defense and then go from there.

My best guess would be Eriksson. Kelly probably won't be traded. Trading Seidenberg does not make any sense if Sweeney is going after someone like Franson in the first place (going after him b/c he doesn't want 2 rookies in the lineup on D).
eklund has it as e4... i know it's eklund but he is not the only one reporting it..
it's believed to be kelly on some accounts

God, if Franson is signed for 5 million I'm going to be sick. Don't care about the term, would rather see the kids battle it out for roster spots than that.

any links? not saying this won't happen but I wouldn't say "several" reports are out there. All we have seen is eklund, and some twitter account named hockeypress which has like 100 followers

There was no report by arnold...he got that from a lyndon byers fan page on facebook which has been proven to be inaccurate. Byers did not write that post, an editor of the fan page admitted to mistakenly throwing that out there. not to mention you said these sources were talking about how the bruins were waiting to make a trade of chris kelly first which is also inaccurate
again, im not saying that the bruins aren't in on franson but saying there are several credible reports is just inaccurate

I'm sorry but I disagree. You trade Lou for cap space so you can add Franson sounds stupid. Wing is already weak and you just made it a lot weaker while improving our D a bit.
Sweney himself keeps saying that the kids has to step up.
Sweeney wants us to be a faster team and then you'd have chara-franson-seids in the top 4, that is painfully slow and Krug is the only one who can skate, please someone explain to me how we are going to score any goals next season?
Weak wing group+little offensive support from the D.
if this happens I pray that Trotman won't be in our lineup.

We have 5.6m cap space now, let's say 4m after 13th F/7th D,
Kelly +Lucic are off the books after next season=5.75m and the cap will go up, is Krug a 10-15m guy?
