Have you watched Wright this year?

Because I have.

It's painful and boring af.

Drouin v2.0
Bergeron is boring AF to watch too..

And Drouin was but boring to watch not a good comparable at all

I didn't know players stopped developing at 21.

Fiala looked like he was busting. Niederreiter too. D. Strome. These are examples off the top of my head.
And Niedereitter and Strome are not top player either..

Habs fans, aside from his great skating and hard hitting how is his actual defensive play? Thank you.
Average skater....average defensively and not much offense but does make a highlight reel hit every few games.Good kid and always seems to be smiling and enjoys playing hockey. You'll love him over there.

So terrible Dach is garbage
Dach’s skating is mediocre. But I think Romanov is one of the more overrated players in the NHL. But resisting the pressure of taking Wright first overall has made this evening a success.

Romanov was on an upward trajectory. I'm not against losing a player of last season's stature. It's future Romanov that concerns me.

We'll see what that is versus Dach's...

Hopefully it isn't McDonagh for Gomez or Sergachev for Drouin all over again...

Yup...

I was higher on Romanov's upside then most, so I'm not liking this deal.

Dach for Romanov, 3rd & 4th isn't terrible on paper, but if Dach doesn't make the leap to quality top 6 C, it's a loss... And if Romanov progresses from quality top 4 to legit top pairing, it'll be an even bigger net loss.

Hughes is swinging big here, I appreciate the boldness and the additions of Dach & Slafkovsky give the team 2 large bodied, strong skating top 6 forwards with high ceilings... Something we haven't seen as long as I've followed the team.

The depth at D, especially LD also mitigates Romanov leaving.

Not really happy with this deal, but at least I can see the rationale unlike in the MB days.
