DBC did nothing wrong. He was traded for, against his wishes, and played out his contract. This trade never should have been made without an extension in place.
Having said that. f*** DeBrincat. He could have made his intentions known earlier. He was one of the biggest disappointments immediately following the Chychrun trade when we were in the hunt. He folded in the pressure like a cheap tent. GTFO.
Lol that is impressive. Okay, I lose.
Next best I can come up with is just owning a Joe Corvo jersey, period. The legendary #7. I like to think I'm one of the only ones.
Depends. It seems like hems willing to sign an extension with 10 teams. An extended Cat might be net us something close or better than 7th overall in 2022Can only imagine how much value was lost by not trading him at the deadline.
Probably could have gotten another 1st or at least another good asset, but for some reason it was viewed as acceptable to fly past the deadline with no extension in place.
Summer of Dorion part 2 coming up. Can't wait.
I acknowledged that it’s on Dorion for not having an extension in place in my OP.DBC did nothing wrong. He was traded for, against his wishes, and played out his contract.
It doesn’t take much to see he wasn’t looking to sign here long term, that’s on the team trading for him, not DBC.
Now he let the team know he’s not willing to sign here, before the draft. He’s given the team more than enough time.

A list like that doesn’t help the Sens much.Depends. It seems like hems willing to sign an extension with 10 teams. An extended Cat might be net us something close or better than 7th overall in 2022
Don’t trade him to Detroit unless it’s for an overpayment.
Can't wait to boo this little f***er
Why extend him without seeing how good he is first? He was not a good fit.I acknowledged that it’s on Dorion for not having an extension in place in my OP.
DeBrincat was still disappointing when we needed it most. The dude disappeared in every big game down the stretch. Cya DBC!
Still like the move.
No matter what, and I am sure this was Dorion's train of thought, he can always a recoup a 1st in a return, so why not try and go for it? He can get that 1st now, at the TDL, anytime.
Personally would love Bertuzzi, and overpay a little, and still have cap flexibility.
Personally, was very frustrated with his play. Usually small guys are fast, but he is anything but. I think whoever signs him long term will be getting a small player who will get slower
Oh boy. The big deadline acquisition. What even led to that?My brother has a Mike Sillinger Sens jersey.
Dude it's not his fault.
Never wanted to be traded to Ottawa. He's an American who's played his entire career in the U.S.
He scored 40G last year and he comes here and starts on the 2nd PP because there was no spot for him on the top PP, where he scores most of his goals.
Can only imagine how thrilled he was about that. Never was a fit here.

Lol, does he have the other 11 teams Sillinger played for too?
