I think he will be, it's tough to gauge how he'd be as an everyday NHLer right now which is fair. As a prospect I would have said Provorov was better but we see what he is now. I'm just glad in this case they aren't rushing it as I don't suspect will be an issue in any case in the Waddell era. Mateychuk does have a leadership quality I feel that I didnt feel with Provorov though.Mateychuk > Provorov/Severson
Doesn't answer your question but 8 points in 7 games, 4 goals and 4 assists.. Seems to be heading in the right direction after a 31 in 58 last season. He's already scored half as many goals as he did in all of last season. Is LDBB taking a step?
Thank you. I try my best.@Monstershockey, I continue to appreciate your Monsters reporting. You’re our Porty for the Monsters. Keep up the good work!

I think he 's been playing good, minus the first Hershey game, but Rochester has been pummelling us, and really, giving up 12 in those games is good. That total could easily be higher the chances they were getting. Last night could have easily been 7-2.Seems like greaves is having a real tough go early on. Hopefully he and the monsters can get going

I don't think too much about losing guys, especially at this level. They probably see no path to the NHL, so they move on to maybe get a shot elsewhere. Also, Columbus may have told them they are going to try other players and it may be better if they move on. I think the players make the decision more than the team does. How are you feeling about the Monsters not keeping Meyer, Dunne, etc...
We're still unsure of why. Maybe they wanted to make it harder on purpose.
It is one of those things that I could not tolerate if I was an AHL fan.

We were talking last night that we miss Dunne and Gaunce because we really have no one to replace their size. Butler is about the only big guy I can think of, and he has been getting playing time, but he hasn't really shown too much. We did get a lot smaller than last year, and by smaller I am not talking height wise. It showed against Rochester.
Maybe, but it is hard to take injuries into account. If we had everyone healthy, he is probably still in Cleveland. I guess you have to take your chances. They do have nice weather in SanDiego though. If Carson Meyer left because he wanted more opportunity, that was maybe an oops. Because he'd be getting some NHL looks with the Jackets right now, and instead he's in San Diego.
