  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

If I remember correctly, the year after we picked him he announced he was retiring from hockey. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life and was tired of the grind. The joke was he wanted to hang out at the local pizza place with his buddies rather than play hockey. He eventually decided to come back and try and make a career playing but maybe by then his ship had sailed on playing.
I think he was mad at Columbus too and wanted to have as much fun as he wanted to actually work. The team probably did no favors to young guys but he didn't have a good mindset and probably wasted what had a chance to be a decent career. Atleast for himself he came around and fell in love with the game again

Dumais scores on a nice deflection. Seems to be heating up with 3 goals in his last 4 games, 4 points in his last 5 after going pointless in 7 straight. Score is 1-0 late in first against Belleville.

I don't take these scoring spurts for granted for a 20 year old AHL rookie. That's really impressive, especially considering how long of an injury recovery he had.

He almost got an assist bringing the puck in the zone and starting a setup that ended up with the Belleville goalie making a great save on Pearson. Definitely been more noticeable lately.

Monsters up 3-1 in the 3rd. Doing their best to let Belleville back in it with a steady march to the box. Back to back delay of game have them on a 5 on 3 penalty kill for a minute and a half.

Monsters killed the penalties and TFW just scored his second of the game, up 4-1. It would be nice if they are waking up and starting a nice run. Now on the PP. Three minutes left.

Interesting article. Seems to blame Columbus a lot. Probably both could be blamed. Glad he seems to have staightened things out and is now coaching.
I think the CBJ were not a great run organization in its early days when it came to player development. Doug MacLean was way out of his league and I think his giant ego kept him from listening to people who might have known better than him.

On a side note, I noticed Jet is 4th in the AHL in Save Percentage @ .918 and 23rd in GAA @ 2.74. That speaks volumes about either thelack of defensive talent this team or the defensive structure the team plays with. I could not find team stats on the AHL site for things like Shots Allowed/Game.

I couldn't find totals, but here is a list of all the games to yesterday with the shots per game listed to the right. They give up a lot of shots.
At one point, I believe, Jet was averaging over 40 shots against vs Rochester and still had a save percentage above 90, but was giving up 4 goals a game.

I posted above a list with the shot per game. I forgot to hit the reply button. Doesn't show the overall total though.

Agreed. I usually side with a player when it comes to hard feelings about a team, but it really seems he wasn't prepared for the real world where if you work for someone, they can tell you where you work.

Monsters looking like they are going to drop this one. Good game by Greaves, just no help again from the offence. 3-1 final. Jet with 27 saves on 29 shots.
