Maybe, but it is hard to take injuries into account. If we had everyone healthy, he is probably still in Cleveland. I guess you have to take your chances.

I suppose it's also hard to know what other moves the GM is going to make. It hasn't just been injuries, Waddell has really thinned out our depth chart. We were short on bodies before the injuries happened.

They do have nice weather in SanDiego though.

That's true. Though on an AHL paycheck I'm not sure where the guys are supposed to live.

Looks like we are trying to address the D, or maybe someone got hurt.

Monsters tied at 2 after giving up 2 goals in 14 seconds. 0-8 Utica playing tough and have a minute left on a PP to start the 3rd.

Monsters up 4-0 on Syracuse after 2. Grimaldi, DBB, TFW, and Pearson with the goals, 2 PP goals and a shortie. Greaves with 22 saves. Mateychuk has an assist. Would be nice if they are finding a groove, but we still have 20 minutes to go.

Monsters finish it off 5-2. Greaves with 34 saves, nice game for him. Grimaldi added an empty net goal. Now 6-4-0-1, still in 5th, but have closed the gap points wise.

Any chance of an Owen Sillinger call up? How does he look out there? Does he have NHL potential?

Monsters defeat Utica 4-0. Greaves with 27 saves. Goals by Sillinger, Malatesta, Gaudet, and Mateychuk. 2/4 on the PP. TFW will probably be suspended as he was given a match penalty for spearing. Dumb play as we have no one to replace him unless a guy comes back from injury.

Monsters have won 3 in a row, and 5 of last 6. Jump up to 3rd place at 7-4-0-1.

Monsters tied at 1 after 2 with Toronto. Would be nice to get a regulation win as they could jump over Toronto into second. Depending on what Laval does they could possibly be a point out of first. They need to put in a better 3rd period than their 2nd though as they only managed 3 shots.

Mateychuk scores in OT. Greaves with an assist after fumbling the puck. Ended up skating the puck to the top of the circle after putting a slick move on a Bruin, then fed Mateychuk.

Now 9-4-0-1, second place by themselves. 5 game winning streak.

Thought they had it in regulation scoring with 26 seconds left, but called back for a high stick.

Monsters going to OT again. Grimaldi with a late goal that counted, unlike Friday, scored with 33 seconds left. Need this second point. Tied at 3 with Providence.

Mateychuk scores in OT again, 19 seconds in. 6th straight win, 10-4-0-1. Still behind Laval though.

Mateychuk with a goal and assist. Grimaldi with 2 goals and 2 assists I think. Pretty sure he assisted Mateychuk's OT goal, they haven't posted it yet. That would give Grimaldi 7 points in last 2 games, 10 in last 4 games.

Greaves gets the win.

Now they are saying just 3 points for Grimaldi.

Updated Grimaldi to 4 points now. TFW also a goal and assist.

Now 3 points behind Laval, and 3 points ahead of Toronto.

Grimaldi 2nd in scoring in league with 18 points, Mateychuk tied for 4th most with 16.

TFW with 15, and Sillinger with 14. Monsters with 4 guys in the top 20 in scoring.

Kind of a forgotten guy but how has Svozil looked? And Ceulemans?

Svozil has been solid. Being paired with Knazko lately since Clayton went out. He isn't going to put up points like Mateychuk, but has been above average defensively. I think he has helped Knazko look a little better than he is. Ceulemans has been the same. Haven't noticed any improvement, sometimes seems like he is chasing the play.

Brindley making his season debut tonight. Jiricek in. Blankenburg playing as a visitor tonight, also. Need a win to keep pace, fell to 3rd place during the week as Toronto passed them. Milwaukee has a good record, hoping for a good game.

Pearson and TFW with goals as Monsters go to the third up 2-0. Mateychuk and Brindley with assists on Trey's goal. Been a well played game by both teams so far.
