Mateychuk’s play is saying “CBJ, I’m ready anytime you’re ready”. Seems like DBB has really lifted his game. I liked him in some of the pre-season games.

Sounds like it won't be long before Mateychuk, LDBB and Brindley are knocking at the door and pushing guys out or at least making for good competition. Good 'problem' to have and I don't mind them spending some more time in Cleveland though.

Monsters up 2-0 early. TFW from Mateychuk and Grimaldi, and Jiricek from Knazko.

Monsters have 3 of the top 4 in scoring, 4 in the top 9, and 5 in the top 13.

Grimaldi tied at the top, Mateychuk and TFW right behind.

If you are going to play AHL hockey, Cleveland's got to be one of the better cities to be stuck in. I wonder how much they are paying him. Dan Gilbert probably opened the purse strings a bit because he's a hockey fan, knows Grimaldi is a difference maker and he has the money. Nice signing.
 
Monsters down 3-2 after 1st to Grand Rapids. Goals by Mateychuk and OJB-H. Give up a PP goal with 3 seconds left in the period. Sawchenko with 4 saves on 7 shots.
 
The win streak currently flaming out. Down 6-3 and going on the PK after the 6th goal. Not how you start a comeback. Sawchenko was pulled for Greaves.
 
Monsters down 3-2 to Syracuse after 2. LaBate and Malatesta each with a goal and assist. Need a solid 3rd to stop the losing streak. Been a good game so far, just need a little more offence.
 
Monsters down 1-0 after 2. Cal Peterson is having a game. Currently on a 5 on 3 PP and Peterson is standing on his head.
