I think both Miller and Lundkvist have higher upside.
No they do not.
You know how I'm the most depressing person on this forum, always telling people to stop overrating our prospects? Well, here I'm saying he's underrated.
Elite vision and puck distribution. Terrific puck control when he holds on to it. Maybe doesn't have elite straight speed, though it is NHL level, but does have spectacular edge work and lateral movement. Knows how to get in position for a good shot and then accurately fires it. Great at accepting passes and stopping the puck on the blue line.
Unbelievably smart. Hockey sense beats any tool (look at Gretzky) and he has it in spades. One of the smartest drafted players not the the NHL last year. He's run up points above what his tools would suggest because of his high IQ.
Despite reputation among know-nothings as an offensive player, he's not scoring because of offensive tools, but because of his high IQ, which is just as useful on defense: knowing where to position yourself is important in all zones. His ability to skate or pass the puck out of his own zone are insane, in line with what his hockey IQ would suggest. His edge work and lateral movement are even more useful on defense than offense. He can play defense with both his stick and his body, knowing which works in which situation. That used to be a problem 3 years ago, causing him to fall to the 3rd round, but it is a strength now.
The acquisition of Fox will be viewed as closer to the acquisition of Mcdonagh than Tim Erixon.
