A win is a Win: Not really, but we'll take it 3-2

I want Brown away from Stoll, just wasting him.

It's almost to the point where Andeoff would be preferable to Stoll, but I don't think we're going to see two rookie centers in our lineup this year.

Have you been watching his goaltending? He has been weak for most of the year and was just brutal tonight. I came close to bringing up the dreaded b-word.

Bong?

Quick definitely hasn't been good this year. You can't defend him. I'm seriously wondering if that back is bothering him.

Quick has been good in peaks and valley's just like the rest of the team.

Quick is actually posting career average numbers.

Just like Kopitar has been up, and down all season.

Quick is about to have another 30+ win season, and another 915-918 Sv%. Just like his career average.

Nick Shore needs more minutes. Kid is so poised. So do Clifford and Nolan. They've been great.

Honest question: Who has? Doughty and...

Carter? He's had some AMAZING stretches, but has also been god awful, especially on the road.

Regher? Rock Solid with the mean streak but either hurt or over his head a lot of the time.

Toffoli and Perason have both been good but both have also struggled (and been on IR).

Everyone else has pretty much alternated between flashes of brilliance and a bag of doorknobs.

We won a shootout!

na or else he wouldn't be able to do his circus acrobatics if that were the case

it's mostly the fact that he's been more aggressive than before, he goes down way too early and out of position...so many open nets caused by that; no way to recoup...whereas before you might have a Scuderi or Mitchell clearing the puck...Muzzin ain't gonna clear ****...

and furthermore, teams have taken notes on shooting high or notice how shooters wait for Quick to make that first move...once Quick makes that move, being the aggressive goalie he is, it's game over after that

we really need a new goalie coach to work with Quick on changing his positioning, like a Francois Allaire or Stephane Waite

I'd like to see how this defense performs against the Penguins.

Perron-Crosby-Hornqvist
Kunitz-Malkin-Comeau
Winnik-Sutter-Downie
Spaling-Lapierre-Bennett

They better not act like a bunch of goofs like they did tonight. Those forwards will pounce on them.

I don't really consider that group of forwards to be overly impressive.

I have been watching just fine but again, I said he's been coming around, look at his last 10 games. Tonight was the exception rather than the rule. People have been all over him all year and have given him no props for doing so damn well during the win streak and then some. Then he comes out and struggles a bit tonight and we're right back to executing him. It's silly. At least acknowledge that he's been very strong lately.

Tonights game was very disheartening. Hooray we won but I am going to need a bit of a walk to get past it. Should have ended 3-0 including our scoring an empty netter so having to go to a shoot out to be the habs well, made me very very unsettled.
My thoughts too. The Kings are not playing like a Stanley Cup team. Not being able to hold onto leads is very worrisome. They just don't seem to have that cut-throat attitude that's needed to win.
I've loved them for a long time and will continue to love them, but they are in need of some big changes this off-season.

It's funny how Patrick Oneil was talking about how great our centers have been and stopped when he got to Carter.
Center depth is no longer our strength that's for sure.

True but you can has a happy?

I think his positioning is fine, it's not like his initial positioning has him off on goals, it's that teams are using the cross-ice stuff to exploit his aggressiveness like the B'Hawks did, and as you said, no MItchell or elite d-men out there coupled with tips and bounces and here we are. He'll never be a reserved butterfly goalie so if we want him to be Price/Lundqvist better trade for them.

Truth is this style is more prone to peaks and valleys, look at Thomas. Higher highs, lower lows. Just have to hope he shows up elite when it matters most and his track record is good for that...on the flip side, look what's happened to those conservative butterfly goalies when it counts...how many cups do they have lately?
