A win is a Win: Not really, but we'll take it 3-2

That was not a pleasant game, but whatever, try to get your **** together and not dick around with the puck against the Penguins, because they could easily make the Kings look like fools. They already did that earlier this season.

Times like this makes reading the nucks/flames/san jose boards just that much more...fun :yo:

Montreal has the 3rd best record in the NHL. It's not like we should have expected to dominate. It ended up being a close game, just as expected.

Quick has been a great shootout goalie through out most of his career.

First period was great to watch. After that, I raged pretty hard. This team reminds me a lot of last year in the playoffs, how ****ing frustrating and gut wrenching they can be to watch. Never say die I guess...

Quick is something ridiculous like 45 and 21 in the shootout. Best in the League I think, for career wise.

So that's what it's like to dominate territorially but only win by the skin of their teeth! Well better than losing these kind of games as normally I guess.

Typical Montreal rope a dope but we pulled it out.

Don't care about style points at this point, I'll take two points in any way we can get em for all the times we dominated and lost.

Everyone had good and bad tonight, hard to criticize any one player over another really. Even Carter lost his guy on a goal.

Tonights game was very disheartening. Hooray we won but I am going to need a bit of a walk to get past it. Should have ended 3-0 including our scoring an empty netter so having to go to a shoot out to be the habs well, made me very very unsettled.

It was a shout out to his bro in Manchester.

Shootouts have to be more prone to variance than anything.

We made the 20...10? Playoffs only by our shootout prowess.

Fast forward and we're out of them because of it.

Sure would have been nicer to get a ROW, but I guess we're destined to stay neck & neck with Calgary until the end.

Details start to matter less at this point in the season. It's points or no points when you're fighting for a spot, doesn't matter how.

But man, the OT, the Kings had the puck almost the entire time and didn't know what to do with it. At least they finally scored in the shootout though. If Quick gets either poke check, it's all great, but he's almost too aggressive for shootouts. During normal play it can work more often than not, because Quick can sometimes just come out of nowhere, but when the shooter has all kinds of time, it's pretzel day. When he is just more goalie than athlete, you can't get a puck by him.
