A win is a Win: Not really, but we'll take it 3-2

Shootouts have to be more prone to variance than anything.

We made the 20...10? Playoffs only by our shootout prowess.

Fast forward and we're out of them because of it.

You may be right with the 2010 season. Quick had one season when he was pretty much unbeatable in the shootout.

Salt in the wounds really. That just made things worse. I has a sad now.

We wont catch Calgary. We control our destiny against Vancouver, we play them three times I believe. If we win two of those, and all else is the same, we should be in the playoffs.

This team will not make the playoffs without Voynov or Martinez returning soon. Muzzin isn't quick enough to carry the pylon Greene. I want Muzzin back with Doughty, Regehr with McNabb/McBain and Sekera with Greene in the meantime. Quick has gotten ridiculous with the flop act and Montreal was all over it.

Come on now...

i kinda have a good feeling about the pittsburgh game...kinda

i like how we let Anaheim tire teams down and that we get to face that team the following night

i'd partner in with Anaheim on such deals

I'd like to see how this defense performs against the Penguins.

Perron-Crosby-Hornqvist
Kunitz-Malkin-Comeau
Winnik-Sutter-Downie
Spaling-Lapierre-Bennett

They better not act like a bunch of goofs like they did tonight. Those forwards will pounce on them.

Quick's game tonight doesn't undo his last 10 games. Why is everyone acting like he's our achilles heel?

The Ducks got all the back to back teams last season. The NHL just switched it this season.

Muzzin with 2 points today. -1, but good game nonetheless He's continuing his roll while paired with Greene.

Very impressed by Gaborik. Way to redeem yourself, Gabby. He had a shot to make it 3-0 in the 2nd but couldn't score on the breakaway. Yet, he ties it up in the dying seconds of the 3rd and scores a beautiful goal in the shootout.

It definitely is, we suck in shootouts and Quick is fairly inconsistent in them.

An Olympian, two time Stanley Cup champion, Vezina candidate, Conn Smythe winner is not hard to imagine being good in shootouts.

Coming into this game, our two leading scorers, Carter and Kopitar, were a combined 1 for 14 in shootouts this season. Hard to blame Quick too much when you consider that stat.

Have you been watching his goaltending? He has been weak for most of the year and was just brutal tonight. I came close to bringing up the dreaded b-word.

we're getting ever so close to March 9th... tea leaves tell me stuff, and they told me NOT GUILTY!

Kings win against vancouver and calgary in the head to head matchups and things look really good...

I want Brown away from Stoll, just wasting him.

Stoll has made both his line mates look horrible all year. Brown looked great in the 3rd period. Was OK all game. Williams has been a little too flashy, I know that's his type of game but he's got to start being a little more north-south than east-west.
