I really wish we had the player I think Laine will be in his mid 20's. But for now he still has a long way to go.
I'm not as confident on investing our teams future salary cap over the next 9 years on him as I was at the end of March.

Holy overreaction. No mercy being given here. He made nice progress this year and i am very excited to see what he can do next season. Leave it to Canadian fans to be unhappy with a kid who scores 44 goals in reg season and is almost ppg in his first playoffs.

At least people are finally starting to realize that Little might've, just might've been a problem with his line all season long.
Not blasting the kid. Just wish we had the prime difference maker we need. For now he is not a detriment he just isn't able to add much to turn the tide when the stakes have reached this level.

Might save us a couple million a season if Laine signs this summer, but I can’t see him doing that.

Wasn't able to watch the game and had the result ruined once again before I could get the PVR going. How did the Jets play overall? In the highlights it looked like they should have tied it up in the 3rd but MAF.

In this series and perhaps the last, his play bears out your statement as the truth. But man, you take away 60% of those posts and you have your difference maker. You have a cup maker.

I know, if ifs and buts were candies and nuts.....

Disappointing game. If he play the rest of the series like we did the third period, then Vegas is done. They were holding on for dear life. Fleury won’t steal the series for them.

But that’s an enormous IF. They need to start better.

But I think our boys learned that if they play to their best Vegas is toast.

It’s not over till the fat lady sings, and she isn’t even on the stage yet.

Go Jets Go

Yes we dominated the 3rd. But let’s not forget that Vegas dominated the first and second.
We can cheer all we want because we dominated a period, but what does that get us? A loss.
The fact is there’s lots going wrong right now. Players are tired, have stone hands, Helle not the same player, Laine stone cold, and absolutely no puck luck.
The third is encouraging but this Vegas team is good. I’ll give them credit for wanting it more so far.

The Jets played awesome for 22 minutes. Not A+ Jets, but probably their A game. The first period was their D game. They changed out their fouled plugs and balanced the engine in the second, and they started to hit on all cylinders near the middle of the game.

Helle had a below par game, oddly reminiscent of game 2. Cerebral ischemic episodes, stunned neuronal function, followed by acute reperfusion, some tissue oxidation, but eventual resurfacing to normal EEG activity. Like a B24 liberator over Guam, circa 1942, with a shot out left engine, that somehow magically roars back to life on the home run.

Sadly I agree. I keep hoping he finds a bit of a spark, but he seems to be not quite ready for this stage. Not much different than Scheif in 2015 against the Ducks.
Huge difference Schief had 4 games and we lost them all. We got swept and all jets looked bad. Laine hasn't played poorly only in games the jets got shut down in and has looked much worse than numerous jets.

Actually looking forward to Friday's game Maurice teases that they will play the best game of the playoffs :naughty:, fingers crossed that we see 3rd period Jets from the get go, MAF will be a sieve on more than 1 shot

Roslovic was not the magic solution, never was going to be. He was bad out there. Sip got his wish though lol.

Roslo was rusty hadn't played in ages, no worse than Ehlers!

Can't win when only half your team shows up!

three good: Schief, Buff, Morrissey

three bad: (noticeably) Laine, Enstrom, Helly

Too many negative comments. A win in the next game recaptures home ice advantage. Jets have outshot the Knights in each of the three games in the series. Don't let all the Toronto biased commentators get you down. I fully expect a win Friday and again on Sunday.

Go Jets Go.

Yep. Paul MacLean mentioned prior to the playoffs that the Jets would stub their toes a few times, citing lots of youth.

Night night boys and girls.

Our young stars (Ehlers, Laine, KC) have gone MIA for most of the playoffs. Also poor production from many forwards (e.g., Perreault, Little).

Need more lines going.

If I was to over-react
Morrow in for Enstrom....We need the offence
Helly on a one maybe two goal leash. .he has cost us not won us games.
Wheeler and Buff on the ice 25 minutes together plus 3 other players.
Laine offensive zone face-offs and PP
Stats and Schiefele 20 minutes each with whoever earns minutes
Copp on Marshmallow
Myers on 1st PP
Kulikov in for Charoit
