Laine has been a ghost out there in this series.

I am stunned at this.

I am a Vegas resident who's rooting for Winnipeg as I think it would be sort of a traveshamockery for first year team to win the cup (even though VGK has totally earned their success by playing great team hockey and giving the most consistent game in game out effort I've ever seen). LAINE SUCKS Five on Five. That's the biggest takeaway from watching the series. I can't believe Fleury made those saves on Scheifele. Like you guys have said, I'm begging the Jets to give a 60 minute effort.

Jets' Best > Knights' Best

Fleury was better than Bucky today. Scheifele was amazing like always but we can't win the Cup if he's the only one who can score.

No, you didn't.

Cheap my ass. He's mugged all shift and goes down to a blatant dive.

And you know better than to propagate nonsense healthy-scratch-gates.
No "gate" here. Honestly don't know why Ehlers is out. Perreault drives me crazy. He needs to produce. Period.

First two losses in a row in the playoffs. First time down in a series. It's crunch time. Game 4 is must-win. You've faced adversity before on an individual game level. Now the stakes are higher and the rest of your playoffs and the chance to make it to the championship round rests on your efforts and your play in the next game.

Never before have you been in this position in these playoffs. Who is going to step up? Who is going to be the game changer? If you're going to come out in period 1, minute 1 like you did tonight, why bother? This is a series much like round 2. It's going to be a lot tougher and there is no excuse to be any less than 100% commited and engaged.

Game 4 can very much be equal to Game 7 Round 2. If you can't solve your issues next game, what are the chances yoully have them solved for the next 3? Some mention that there's alot of heat on Laine from Jets fans. And on Enstrom too. Do you blame the fans? Where there's smoke, there's fire.

Crisper, smarter passes is what I'll be looking for. Maybe because I'm harder on the Jets than I am any other team but why do our passes seem to be so slow and subsequently easy to intercept? And some of these slow passes that are making their way to our own players can't even be handled and they just turn it over anyways. The opposition has such great opportunities for nice, quick passes. I feel we're trying to force something to happen and it ends up biting us in the ass. While I appreciate the effort, sometimes it's just not worth it.

I hope they turn it up to 11 for the full game Friday. Give us hope! I'll be cheering for you til the end, Jets! Give me something to cheer about!

P.S. Way to go Scheif! Just doing an amazing job out there! Always seems to be trying to generate something for the team and to creat space for himself! Wheeler! Way to go man! I enjoyed you and your line's effort at the end of the game! Myers, you were getting there! Buff! Lovin it! So close to getting around Fleury and tapping it in! Really guys! GO JETS GO!!!

Jets shoulda played like they did in the third all game

Vegas is pretty much a team of energy players, they come out like buzz saws with a crazy fore check and a suffocating style that gave Winnipeg little room and little time, especially in that first period. It's a successful way to play, obviously as it balances out the fact that they are the less skilled team, but it is a high energy way to play that cannot possibly be maintained over 60 minutes and hopefully not over the balance of a seven game series (if a team can hang around long enough to take them to seven).

A team playing that high energy needs to have their energy resources depleted as early as possible. Sure they swarm like kamikazes, but if they have to do that and get hit, smashed and slammed repeatedly it makes it all that much more difficult. If they, on top of that, are engaged in hard-nosed scrums after every whistle, that further saps the old energy - but if they are allowed to do the first without having to contend with the other two then we get what we saw these last two games. The better team stifled, smothered and swarmed into submission because they refuse to play hard-nosed playoff hockey. They have no real excuse for losing this series other than the other team simply outworked them. Lets hope something changes - wear them out and more of the game will look like the third period.

And geez, go to the net. I don't know how many times tonight I saw a player take a low percentage shot and his line mates stood still and watched the puck/rebound get swallowed by the goalie or cleared by a defender. This team needs a player (or players) who will go to that dirty area; for the top line not to do it is bad enough (because they are actually scoring), but to see these lower lines not following the puck to the net just seems like playoff disaster to me. I'd love to see some dirty, garbage goals the next game. Jets are still the better team and I still feel pretty good about them moving on.

enstrom needs to **** off for game 4 hes not 100% and is losing his coverage left n right. he had one good play today that broke up a 2 on 1. im done defending him put morrow in for a game or 2 and see what happens.

Seems like it might be a possibility after he was benched.

They've basically given up on him doing anything offensively. How can you play him on your pairing that you often put out with your top scoring line?

Two things:

1. Helle needs to play like the Vezina candidate he is. Someone, tell him to stop handling the puck so much!
2. Secondary scoring. No more posts allowed, can't afford three posts per game.

= wins.

1. They did. He barely left his crease in the third.

You try to score goals with Tanev on your line.

Tanev was fine. You try to score goals 5-on-5 with Laine trying to forecheck with the front third of his stick blade.

Tanev is a heart and hustle guy but he should be nowhere near the second line, that can't happen on this team but it did tonight and for the whole game

I'll say it: You need your goalie to step up and make a few saves. He was a big reason they lost.

:(

Maybe Helly stops talking about how much fun he's having while Jets fans do some serious damage from all the clenching.

Stinky goals Helly.. Wake the F up

Not sure how confident I would feel bout the Jets heading back home down 3-1. I'm trying to tell myself the game on Fri is not a must win, but it sure feels like it....................

Laine needs to be scratched next game. He's a turnover machine out there and can't play the point either. I was hoping they'd bench him in the third and give Roslovic some extra shifts.

The Jets would be unstoppable if one of the other lines could score. Perreault-Stastny-Roslovic would be a good experiment IMO.

I also don't think anyone can blame the coach if we lose this series. I was proud of Maurice not giving into the temptation of putting Hendricks in the lineup tonight. One huge step for him to not lean on that security blanket.

All this nonsense about Fleury stealing the game needs to stop. The degree to which he has golden horseshoes up his ass right now is insane. For example on that Scheifele chance, he had about 95% of the net to shoot at and shot it right at a desperate Fleury. On the "great save" on Byfuglien, Dustin just missed the toe drag that would have made him look foolish.

We need to have that game where it all comes crashing down on him.

Early on the Jets vets looked like they were overly emotional and the young players looked nervous. I hope they can settle down and play a consistent game.

the offense dies on his stick every time in the offensive zone we all know hes never going to shoot its pump fake slap shot dump to no one or turn over. he was a hell of a d man for his career but he just doesnt have it any more. still a serviceable shut down guy but not for us

Winnipeg is going to have to make adjustments and slow the game down. Much like they did in Game 4 against Minnesota. They're going to have to concentrate on defending and bottling up the neutral zone to stop the Vegas transition.

If they do this, they will win the series because Winnipeg does have the better talent/skill. That's undeniable.

But from the looks of it now, if they don't make adjustments and the style of play continues as is, I really think Vegas is going to take this series from them.
