South Shore/Coast folks, how are you holding up? Looks like some crazy winds.

Lots of melt in the VT hills, school just had early release due to flooding concerns

Couple power blips, but no full outage here in Weymouth.

Very high winds and tons of rain here today. Power went off at 4:30 this morning. Electrician is coming to finish hooking up the new generator. Thankfully it is close to 60F.

I canceled my pt appointment there is no way I’m going out in this mess

The wind and rain is unreal. All night and still this morning.

If this were snow, we would have 3 feet and it would be drifting.

Heavy rain, wind. My yard is a mess. Missing Christmas decorations I'm going to have to look in my bushes and hope they landed there. My back fence fell a bit.

But then there was a lull and we had a rainbow. I made a wish. Then 20 minutes later, the rain came back.

Oh how I wish it was snow.

As noted previously, what's miraculous is that to my knowledge, no one has ever been seriously injured in a Storrowing.
Nobody’s going fast enough? I mean, it’s rare to even get to go as fast as 35 MPH at least 75% of the time. And that photo looks to be down by Charles St./Mass Eye & Ear, where it’s stop and go 85% of the time. But every single time it happens, I crack up and love that I’m from here.

WE will try and get them a puck!
You’re really, really good at that. Two for two for my kid, and the first time you also scored two others for his teammates.

Lights have dimmed a few times but so far so good today in New Bedford. I am not home but I can see through the Nest app that the power is still on in Whitman as well.

Looks like most ski resorts up north got wrecked unfortunately. The great winter reset just in time for Christmas week

Yup , I decided NOT to take Xmas week off (Working 12/27-28). Last two years I took it off and was stuck inside looking at crusty snow. Thought I would regret it this year but looks like a good choice.

I think we are going to go to the Cape for New Years. My family has a place in Yarmouth and I heard Chatham has a fun first night. If there is no snow, might as well see the ocean.

Sometimes Tyler doesn't give them out. Usually (if I ask him) he does. He is Don Sweeney's son.

I went up to Bartlett on Christmas Day maybe 10 years ago, and hit Bretton Woods the day after Christmas. I think they had something 15 trails open, but the weeks leading up to it were cool and dry so most areas of the mountain had SOME coverage. My brothers and I spent the day hiking and rope dropping, and it was a quiet day so ski patrol either didn't know or didn't care. Was one of my favorite days on skis. One of those mashed potato days but we had a great time. Thats probably as good as i could reasonably hope for on a northeast Christmas ski trip these days.

Today was not the ideal day to be on the 39th floor when you are prone to motion sickness. Some impressive swaying today.
Oh boy. I do not miss those days of working up in the 40s of the prudential center. Sometimes those planes looked like they were heading directly at my desk. Other days i couldn’t look outside because the clouds whipping by so fast made it feel like i was soaring through the sky. I do not envy you today. Hope you’re all good now

I cannot say enough good things about my electrician. True to his word he came out yesterday to finish hooking up the new generator (originally it was scheduled to be done in November. However Generac sent him a dud & he had to return it for a replacement and it took forever for it to arrive). Not only that but he's keeping it gassed up for me since I can't manage that just now. He's a great kid, in just a short period of time he's gone from being solo to having 4 guys working for him and they're good guys too.

I'm definitely getting him something extra to go with my check.
