Ok, ENOUGH of this NONSENSE. It’s not “LFGD,” it’s not “LGD,” it’s not “LGDFLG.”

It’s LFG.

LUKE F****** GLENDENING.

Ok!? You guys got it?

LFG. And his defense was not overrated.

Also. Reported again.
LF"OMGWTFBBQ"GD's defensive game was about as good at stopping goals as a colander is at stopping water.

What sort of offensive production are we expecting? He's at 1.3 ppg since getting traded to Portland. If he is getting mostly D-zone starts is that actually all that underwhelming? I know the numbers can get pretty gaudy in junior, but that doesn't exactly scream LFG to me 🤷‍♂️
Don't know. His PPG totals in the WHL:
Partial First Yr: .625
First Full Year: 1.07
Last Year PPG: 1.15
This year: 1 PPG / 1.3, Ttl: 1.12

Defensively, he's rock solid and a massive boost to whatever team he is on in that regard. I still really hope to see more offense, though. Hoping he finishes at or above 1.5 PPG (on Portland) in his 4th year in the league.

To say he would produce more if he played differently is kind of silly, given he is probably not going to play differently once in the NHL either.

I would have liked to see him be 1.5 PPG or better this year. I'm not freaking out that he's not. But it is hard to have enough offense in your game at the center position to be a 2C in the NHL. Only 50-60 guys in the world can pull it off. A lot of them dominated at lower levels.

You also have Trocheck who was under a PPG in his +1 year and Cody Glass who was 100+ pts in his +1 year... so it definitely comes down to skill sets and if they translate at the end of the day.

That's the good thing about Danielson, he passes the eye test for me. I see a lot of things that (should) translate in his game.

He looked better than any of the other prospects this preseason, including those with NHL experience. I'm 100% sure he'll have some sort of NHL career. Not sure how much he'll score though.

It'll be somewhere between LFG and DBoss, lol. (Did I spell that right?!?!)

I think you are misreading Trockek’s DB page.
He was well over PPG as an 18 year old.
And over 100 points as a 19 year old.
(Danielson has been 19 every game this season and their Birthdays are 2 months apart)

Yeah good call, I was looking at his DY not his +1 year. I look at +1 season irrespective of age, I’ve always thought that makes the most sense. Danielson could still end up having a comparable +1 year to Trocheck.

I also think it helps that whenever anyone has watched Danielson at the highest levels hes played, hes looked like one of the best players on the ice. His NHL preseason was obviously great, but also the world juniors in his "shutdown" role (lol), he was one of the most dangerous players on the ice every single game. His line was the best line on Canada and despite playing the wing, he shouldered most of that. And thats as a draft+1 player, who often dont do much at the WJC

The offence being 1.3 ppg this year wouldnt be horrible, but it also wouldnt be amazing for a draft +1. But adding what hes done when the competition gets harder makes it way easier to look at him as a really high end prospect.

Jared McCann was given up on by 3 teams, and the Leafs I believe signed him and then lost him in the expansion draft? So 4? He's always passed the eye test, I see Danielson in a very similar way. Nate is a much earlier pick but both look like really good pros with great shots, skating, vision. Give the kids time and a good environment and they will eventually figure it out if they have the skills and work ethic.

Jared McCann is on record talking about how he didn’t take his own development as serious as he should have, and needed more time in the A.
