If memory serves, you had Farabee penciled in as a PPG 1st line winger when he signed his contract.
Franchise player potential at one point.
Same with Phil Myers.

It's Hilferty, Briere, Tortorella, Camillo and the TBA Pres. of Ops' club. If they fail, who will know it? The club is already scraping the bottom the the League's barrel. They may have to throw more money away or they will throw it away in other ways.
I posted the pic but wouldn't be surprised if it did that..lolYour use of the word “Titans” seems to have prompted some targeted advertising.

In the end, while we see hockey as a sport, the NHL owners view it as entertainment to make money. I do believe this much, the League needs a competitive club in Philly. The Northeast is the backbone of the League. Having Philly suck is bad for the game. Their past reputation boosts interest in the sport. The League will have things will break the Flyers' way in order to get them back to being competitive.
Matthews would have been a Coyote not a Leaf.Do we really believe the league is competent enough to play favorites and not have it leak? Jeremy Jacobs looking out for his own ass I'm sure happens frequently. But rigging drafts or putting their hands on balancing scales? Nah. They're not that good at this.
Yes but that arrogant, stubborn, ego tripping, asshole has twelve million reasons to hang around for three more years. He's not going away so we're going to have to learn to live with him. Comcast threw away $25M on AV. They're not going to trash out $12M more with Torts.
wait! so we replaced the last groups of quiters with a new group of quiters ?There is a group of quitters on the club that needs to be replaced starting with Hayes and TDA. My call is that Torts went to the press box to get away from them and to see if not having his presence behind the bench would be a motivational tactic for these guys. It didn’t work.
Farabee is only 22, he's had an offseason coming off neck surgery (so did Eichel last season).Franchise player potential at one point.

i find the idea of "its establishing a culture of losing"... like players on a poor team are unable to understand how tanking works..As opposed to doing the same things anyway but with worse results and even less future chance for improvement?
It's like people who fall for Washington conspiracy theories - like anyone can keep a secret in DC.Do we really believe the league is competent enough to play favorites and not have it leak? Jeremy Jacobs looking out for his own ass I'm sure happens frequently. But rigging drafts or putting their hands on balancing scales? Nah. They're not that good at this.
The problem was Scott, Fletcher and the senior advisors. Until they were jettisoned, this couldn't have happened. They would have never accepted a rebuild. That's why Hilferty is now the boss.My plan? Don't re-sign Risto. Trade him last deadline to recoup lost picks. Don't sign Deslauriers or trade 3 draft picks for TDA. Hire Jimmy Montgomery, not Torts. Start a youth movement from day one of the season and let them work through their hiccups. Don't wait for the last minute to try to move JVR. I'd have tried to pump and dump Hayes.
This isn't rocket science and none of that is hindsight, btw.
Moving forward, yeah, I'd probably try to squeeze a first out of some team desperate for a goalie in exchange for Hart. Trade Provorov for more picks. TK might be young enough to keep around at least for another year.
Too late. You outright refuse to figure it out, because cognitive dissonance and all that, but this asinine obsession with developing a "winning" team culture (circa 1974) IS the problem, that's the hole we keep digging deeper, that's what already led to entrenched bad, losing habits and atmosphere.
Rigging the 2015 draft to give Philly McDavid would have added a lot of extra revenue. 3 or 4 Crosby-McDavid games every season, and some playoff series as well.LOL
You might want to put the THC away...
The league has rarely done things to help the Flyers even the Lindros trade was questionable in how much impact it had with who the Flyers sent to Quebec.
#maximumpainThe advisors aren't being put out to pasture. They're being lavished with over the top praise and they'll still have input.
Tortorella does not want more talent, not in any way you think he does. He's told us what he wants. He wants more grinders. That's his idea of talent. Grinding. Blocking shots. Barkov over McDavid. Cates over a Frost who has outplayed him. Seeler as a core piece. He wants more of everything that makes the team bad. He is an arrogant and stubborn egotripper who is also a massive asshole, is too lazy to actually coach, and is too lazy to learn how the game works anymore. He has completely lost touch with the sport. That the team is making it clear he's going to be highly influential is a tremendous problem which helps assure the team will be bad for years to come.

You hate Montgomery, b/c this team would have driven him to drinking.
It's not like Boston was a bad team he turned around.
It's one thing to coach up a team loaded with talented veterans, quite another a team on life support.
The leaps some people's minds make is amazing at times.Take pot shots at a guy with a mental health/addiction problem who puts himself in a position to be better; defend the kid needlessly throwing a handcapped person's mode of transportation down a flight of stairs.
Are we certain one of this person isnt really as bad as GB?
Wait, that was actually said? And Allison would soon make us forget about Voracek
Wait, that was actually said?
Yes. Someone was adamant that after a decent 14 game sample, Wade Allison was ready to replace Jake Voracek as a Middle 6 forward and top line PP time. Voracek would be a thing of the past in short order.
