Torts took over CBus after a 0-7 start. They were a 89 point team the previous season.

He took over NYR with 21 games to go in the season and went 12-7-2. They were 31-23-7 before him. That's a 93 point pace when he took over. And a 95 point team the season before.

Hardly soneone who always takes over bad teams. Anyhoo. Nite all.

You left out the part where CJB had made the playoffs once in seven years, had pt% of .573, .567, and .543 before they started 0-7.

That is, a team that at best was mediocre, entering a death spiral.
