wow...you put a lot of pressure on Zuccarello, it's almost like a win is secured with him in the lineup.

But I guess his hand isn't healed yet, surprised if he plays 20 mins or more tonight.

He's our best player this year....That's a pretty significant boost to our lineup.

Agreed. I haven't seen a lot what was advertised.

foir awhile we did... after his first bad stretch of 10 games (and wasn't the whole team bad, haha), he was a solid 4th liner... Nash took a stupid unnecessary penalty and the guy broke his leg blocking a shot. He'll need some time to get re-accustomed into the game I am sure... Which is why I want to see what Carcillo-Moore-Dorsett looks like... Scratching Moore in that game where Dorsett was slotted into the 4th line was the dumbest move because he has the highest hockey IQ of these 4 players in question.

How would you lads organize the power play units with MSL added? Callahan wasn't a regular with their unit except when Zucc was injured.

Looking forward to seeing MSl and Zucc together, based on what I saw last game in a NYR jersey Zucc actually looks bigger than MSL.

Nash-Richards-Kreider
McD-MSL

Richie takes the draw and moves to MSL's point, Kreider in front of the net MSL on the right half boards, Nash on the left half boards. Let Richie run it and try get MSL set up for a one timer or cross ice pass to Nash on the back door, Kreider uses his size in front of the net.

Second unit is tricky because I want MZA out there but also like what Brass is doing so don't think it's fair to bump him for Stepan.

This, and the effect is even greater since Zucc has become better and better throughout the season and had 8 points in his last 6 before the olympics. The lingering effects of the injury and the down time might cause him to not pick up exactly where he left off though.

May as well just put the 3rd line out and slot McD/G with someone else on the point...

Very interested to see how we work the PP units with our 3 best players being RWs. St Louis to play some point I imagine. How about our 5 on 3s..

Nash-Stepan-Zucc
MSL-Richie

fun

We need another unit. Who is going to man the point on the other one?

MSL should man a point. If i recall, he is good at it. I'm sure he's better then anything we have.

I"m sick of running Richie out there for 2 full minutes and it hasn't been working of late

Where's Ola? He posted some great analysis of awesome PP units over the summer, Tampa Bay was one. Maybe we can recreate it sans Dan Boyle and Lecavalier.

Zucc is back? Solid.

Columbus fans were saying how much we were going to love Dorsett. I wonder if he's been playing the same game since the trade?

I was thinking about that this week. They were saying he was the best piece in the trade. Wow. To me, Brassard is worth more than CBJ got in return for Gaborik this week. Very happy with him on our team.

Brass is easily the best piece there. He's basically a #2 or one of the best #3's around. HOpe we retain him for a fair price.

I also think Moore still has a lot of upside, we'll see.

Dorsett is your run of the mill plug.

not expecting too much from zuke in this one....

first game back from injury...some one else should step up tonight..

Steps..Hags....I'm looking at you..

Ranger should have tried for Jarred Boll instead... why do Rangers get all of these gritty forwards with not much size and the big forwards dont play big or physical at all??

Going to the game. Only got my girlfriend into NYR a year ago, and she's not dealing too well with the trade.

It hurts.

How long will we have to hear about Cally, before we can get back to focusing on winning? Over/Under end of this season...

I can't believe people are this upset about Callahan leaving.

1. He's a 3rd line winger
2. He asked for more than 6m/y

Skill-wise, he's easily replaced. Blocking shots or screening the goalie is something Pouliot can do. Just because he was our captain, doesn't mean he was as important to us as some people make him out to be. He was a good player, great personality, but him asking for that ridiculous amount of money, justifies Sather dealing him. He was not a Messier/Graves/Gretzky calibre player.

You still hear about Dubinsky from time to time. Don't act surprised

Hearing about them is fine. I still follow all of our old guys and still root for them, but many are acting like it was some sort of sin to move on from them.

It was the right move to let Cally go. Getting MSL may have not been a right move, but two wrongs does not make a right.

I would've traded Callahan for Dubinsky straight up in a heartbeat. I would've shipped Cally to CBJ in the Nash deal and not Dubi.

I would've made Dubi the captain over Callahan.

This post is entirely serious.

Miss ya, Dubi.
