Yeah they're both must win games. NYR will be in a world of **** if they drop both of them. 4 point games.

On another note, the Rangers absolutely OWN Carolina. They've won the last 9 matchups dating back to 10-11. Last game Carolina beat us was January 20th, 2011 when they beat us 4-1 in Carolina.

Dorsett skating with Diaz, Falk, Talbot. Would expect Zuccarello to be in lineup tonight v Candy Canes.

Zuccarello appears to be playing tonight, per Larry.

They have had the same lines for the month. Maybe try switching things up a bit?

St Louis - Stepan - Nash
Kreider - Brassard - Zuccarello
Hagelin - Richards - Pouliot
Carcillo - Moore - Boyle

The first two lines are intriguing because they are carbon copies of each other. An average #2 center, two huge beasts, and two smurfs who have been amazing this year. The third line actully played well earlier in the year together so I want to see that.

And now we have MSL who's been owning them his whole career.

I would like to see Kreider and Hagelin switched personally.

Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Kreider-Richards-MSL

See no reason to break up the other two lines. Have been the most consistent units for their respective roles.

Anyone else starting to resent Dorsett and want him far away from this team? Cuz I am/do

Amen, brother. Hags-Stepan-Nash was a relatively successful line at one point, right? (Keyword: relatively)

Agreed.

I think Hagelin does wonders for Nash. Opens up a lot of ice for him. Helps Stepan too. His role reminds me a bit of Marty Straka's when Jagr was here. Does a lot of the grunt work for his linemates.

I like Kreider off of Nash's wing too. Let Kreider be the man on the second line. St. Louis will have a field day setting him up as well. And as much as I like Hagelin, I don't think he'll make the most of the opportunities that St. Louis sets up for him that Kreider would.

Not a major swap but I think it will balance the top-6.

I love those lines!

Don't like it. You have two wingers playing their off wing and just too many changes.

We know the third line has chemistry. They look comfortable playing together and create opportunities every night.

We saw a glimpse of the 2nd line against Toronto and while they didn't score, they looked dangerous. I think we need less forcing the play towards St. Louis and allow for a more organic development of play will result in good things from that line.

The first line we know CAN carry a team. Each of Kreider and Nash has shown the ability to be overpowering to varying degrees.

Let these guys stay to gether and force opposing teams to pick their poison in terms of who gets the marquee defences and who is stuck defending the other line(s)

Lastly, that 4th line is doing something we haven't seen in a while. They are keeping teams honest as well.

We haven't been this capable three lines deep in years. Let these guys play as is.

Again, I think this is an overreaction. He's played TWO games since returning from injury, and one was over his head on the third line. Let him get his timing back.

Lest we forget this is a guy who broke his leg blocking a shot on the PK, and then stayed on the ice. Yeah, his shift ended because a PP goal was scored, but come on. That's Callahan heart right there ;)

Well Kreider was supposed to make room for Nash too and it worked for like a 10 game stretch...

Pretty sexy...

Yep, that Kreider/Hags swap is about the only change I'd make right now until this line-up settles in and MSL/Zucc get comfortable.

I'm puking at some of these awful line suggestions. Leave Pouliot-Brassard-Zuccarello alone!

Switching Kreider and Hags would be alright I guess.

This stems back way before his return to the lineup.

Also, heart is great, but you need results, of which we've had really none from DD this year.
