There’s a lot I’m disliking about some of Quinn’s decisions, but to his credit he doesn’t have a lot to work with. And he won’t until our kids develop into better NHL players which will take some time.

There's ads, then there's the pop-ups and shit they have on mobile that are incredibly obnoxious.
Besides there are more sites than this one that have obnoxious ads. Bonus is the data saved by blocking all of it

I can't see this team sustaining much success at the moment so as far as the roster and picks go, I think a lot is going to ride on how things shake out come the TDL.
Can they clear some space and bring in established (younger vets) players or do they sell the farm again and hit the draft?
Still way to early to tell but if I had to bet, I'd go with the latter.

I want to believe this team is more like the 20 mins that was so exciting

rather than the 40 that was unwatchable

Perhaps it is something simple like the stupid schedule

fast was terrific
Buch was much better
ADA very involved
henrik deserves better

brady skjei was literally the worst followed by staal.

This team needs a win in the worst way

As for the game itself: It's no surprise that this team is struggling. As I said a few times before the season, between the inexperience, the lack of depth, and questions with goaltending, this team is gonna have a lot of trouble and comfortably be a bottom 10 team, contending for the lotto.

Panarin was a great addition and he's generally been awesome, Trouba has looked pretty good too. But this is a team game and there's too many other issues with this team that one or two players can't cover up on their own. And that's okay, this is what happens in a rebuild.
 
Put me in the camp that does NOT want to see a bottom 5 finish. We should see big time gains this year considering the moves we’ve made. We need to start getting better. If we’re a bottom 5 team and Mika and Panarin are this good it means that none of our kids took steps forward.

I'd play Fast on that line with Zibanejad and Panarin. He grinds, gets loose pucks and is better in his own zone. That's besides the assist, which was a nice pass. He's a north-south player, with a little bit of east-west in his game to balance that line.

Howden got his least TOI this game of the season. He shouldn't be on PP2. He should be in Hartford.

Adam Fox is legit and he might just be our best player on the backend. DeAngelo is a crackhead throwing rocket passes across the blue line. Staal, please retire, go away. Thanks for your service, but it's time to give it up.
 
Some predictions for next year:
Ruff is let go.
Kakko works on skating during offseason, takes it up a notch.
Predictions this year based off this game and the previous: its so hard to discern whether this is gel time or canucks tired time but im sticking to my point that this could be something the rangers work off. They need to forecheck more and they did in the 3rd. 1st two they ate shit across the boards, the passes behind the back have to stop too, theyre too lazy and they cost us turnovers. Only panarin or mika should be allowed to make those passes, not our 3rd or 4th because they will easily get intercepted. The tape passes are getting better, idk i still feel like that early stretch set us off a lot. A genuine question: where the f*** does kreider shoot? He cant make it for the life of him unless he bullies into the net or deflects a puck, his shot accuracy is terrible. And final questipn: how the hell does panarin make those?

Took some time but we're now bottom 4 in points per game. This game is probably the closest that the 2nd line has looked to being functional so that's one slight positive but if we don't right the ship, our season will be effectively over very quickly.

I don't know if it's the coaching staff or the players. Maybe it's the environment. We've had different coaching staffs and different players coming in and going out of this organization, and this is consistently an issue.
