I'd trade Skjei and Buch to resign Kreider although Kreider would bring back the most in a trade for the Rangers organization I'm 50 50 on Kreider, I don't see him slowing down like most power forwards since he can skate very well

that is the problem. I don’t think Buch and Skjei together bring back as much as kreider would alone at this point.

It’s a very difficult situation. No one has a crystal ball, and this isn’t a player who is injury prone or will break down. With the Panarin and Trouba signing, they expected to speed up their rebuild, but they also need to keep their proven players who will still be in their prime when the Rangers are competing again. What can a late 1st round pick get the Rangers? Could be a bust or someone who will never be as good as Kreider.

People should also look at CK’s point of view, this is his last chance to get a big contract and he deserves to be paid, rightfully so.
Part of is I really don't trust this team to get a satisfying return for Kreider.

The McDonagh deal is rapidly turning into giving him away for free.

Matt Dumba got a mystery scratch from the Wild too
Yep. I think we all knew he would be the return. Leafs have been after a defenseman for some time ... and who wouldn’t love Kapanen? Georgiev wouldn’t have been enough for Kapanen. Swapping CK for Kapanen wouldn’t have made sense for the Leafs. It’s the right move for both teams.

I would love to see how Chytil looks on an NHL line sometime this year, as opposed to the filled diaper line.
