I just want some direction and consistency with the lines and pairings. Something that works. For whatever reason Adam Mcf***ingQuaid is the only one that is getting a consistent spot in our pairings.

Dude, It's alot easier to draft an elite player when you are drafting in the top 3rd rather than making playoffs every year and drafting anywhere between 20 and 30. We had 5 1st round picks the last 2 years and I would guess another couple this year too. This needs some time. It's 5 F'ing games into the first full year of a rebuild.

So you are telling me half the league wasn’t intentionally tanking for JT Miller?

Pls...

Ahem...

AV was roasted for not switching the lines, and now only 5 games into his coaching career while on a rebuilding roster with a lot of question marks, you feel Quinn is being too inconsistent with the pairings?

Well played Trottier...

Dude, you ask me to chill out meanwhile you're taking this to a whole new level.

I can't answer for other posters but I didn't have a problem with the winning core.

What I do have a problem with is that, that winning core was never supplemented with the proper players to push them over the top.
With that said, JG can build this team anyway he wants.
Do I trust him to bring in the right support at any point after?
**** NO!

The proper players of which you speak, were not avaiable in the Rangers low draft spots.

And you want to build from within?

I actually think it was far worse then. The added bonus now are the guys patting themselves on the back for being such good fans for watching 5 games of a team that actually stinks.

Yes, they are the happiest theyve been in a long time.

Although it must be bittersweet to tell evereyone the team sucks when it actually sucks.

Maybe they will accuse some of most postive long term posters as jumping on the badwagon or even being noobs when the team is a in a full tail spin.

“I hated then when they were good you filthy casual”

He’d be best served by getting rid of Gordie Clark, for starters
Wait...before Gorton, people told me Gordie Clarke was making all the right decisions.

Whenever a signing was correct, and people tried to give Sather some credit, it was explained that Gordie Clarke “ In Clarke We Trust” MUST have made the decision since Sather was incapable of making a correct decision.

So Gordie Clarke had a 100% decision making score.

Now we need to get rid of Clarke?

I thought we hated Gorton?

Are people going to be calling for Jim Ramsays head?

Who are we supposed to hate?

Bobrov did a bunch of the player profiles after the draft this year and had the longest segements of the guys they spoke with.

Its pretty clear to me that hes being groomed to be the guy.
Just seems like a matter of "when" and not "if"

Gordie isn't old either. Only 66.

With regard to the complaints about the mixing of lines, you have to expect that a new coach was going to move things around, find lines that suit what hes trying to do.
I actually haven't hated much of what he has done, hes sent the message that lack of effort is unacceptable. He's changed our defensive structure, something that is still a work in progress but already looks better. And finally hes put faith in the kids. These three things we all complained about AV, so for me even if the record doesn't show it hes inching in the right direction. I think things will start falling in place as we go along.

This wouldn't be so frustrating if we didn't have 3/5 players playing less than they're capable in every game.

Anyway, 3 criteria

Did the team work hard? Yeah, I think they did for most of the game. Lost some steam for parts of it, but we didn't see the gliding we saw in Carolina.
Did the team do something to make us proud? Not in this one. They might have worked hard, but it was a pretty uninspired performance.
Did the young players do something good? Nothing stood out about any of them in this game.

It wasn't a good day, and it wasn't a bad one. Just sort of blah.
That's the thing. We haven't had a game where everyone brought their A game and the whole team top to bottom was humming
