I wrote a statement.
Yay! You did it!

There are a batallion of posters throughout the fanbases here that believe their team is being jobbed by the refs and that their current coach blows.
I didn't deny that some fans complain waaay too much about the refs. I agreed. I juts pointed out that you seem to harp on this even when it's not necessary.

Many here criticized every Rangers coach. Now that AV is gone, Quinn sucks. Before AV, Torts and Renney sucked. Note a pattern, here?

Most of the small handful of posters going crazy over Quinn are almost universally panned by practically the whole board.

There are many patterns here. One of them would be coaches who legitimately do a bad job. There are fans who unfairly get on coaches. There are fans who find legitimate criticisms. A sample size of 3 isn't much of a pattern. Every coach will eventually fall behind their respective pro league.

Are you implying that none of them ever deserved to be fired or criticized then I disagree vehemently. Especially with AV. I wasn't sure I wanted Torts gone but his inability to get more offense out of our players frustrated me. He also seemed to have really lost the locker room. Some of what you say is true but you seem to be trying to pretend like it's the only thing that's true.

AV took the team to the finals, no matter the opinions of Rangers fans. Does that prove he is a great coach? No. Does it mean he's a bad coach? Absolutely not.

In that year, he did enough to get the team to the finals. This has no bearing on the quality of his coaching as time wore on. He coached the NYR out of critical Stanley Cup games, out of at least 1 entire PO series and out of multiple games. His deployment and favoritism of players was well documented. His negative views on physical play were discussed by his own players. Once the team was no longer elite, he was exposed badly as the limited coach that he was. I don't think one player publicly wished him well, several criticizes him. He lost the room too.

Rangers fans were upset about the way AV treated Buch. Now Quinn is being berated for the way he treats Buch. At what point does it become a possibility that Buch's performance might be a problem of his and not the coach?

I've been pointing out that Buch has some flaws he hasn't fixed and that I'm concerned with his lack of progress in many areas

I liked Torts but unfortunately he became a tyrant and had to go.
AV should've been canned after the 1st round loss to Montreal.

Torts is a effective coach short term, but his temper will wear down mentality over a long time. It was good that he was let go
