Laughton would be JT2C 4.0
Compher > Newhook > RyJo > Laughton. It makes too munch sense not to happen?

He’d be worse than JTC tbf.Laughton would be JT2C 4.0

Yeah he’s less erratic than JTC, but a worse player. As a 3C, he’s good. As a 4C he’s elite. As a 2C he’s way less than desirable. He’d be worse than JTC tbf.
I mean shit if the Avs got Mitts and Laughton they’d have probably the best C core out there. Would be an awesome all in move.Yeah he’s less erratic than JTC, but a worse player. As a 3C, he’s good. As a 4C he’s elite. As a 2C he’s way less than desirable.
That would cost a ton and I can’t see them doing thatI mean shit if the Avs got Mitts and Laughton they’d have probably the best C core out there. Would be an awesome all in move.
seems like he sees the window staying open awhile longerMikko Rantasesta tulee todella rikas mies: ”En lainkaan ihmettelisi”
Mikko Rantasen nykyinen sopimus Colorado Avalanchen kanssa päättyy kesällä 2025. Miehen seuraavasta sopimuksesta tulee massiivinen.www.iltalehti.fi
Rantanen article.
Contract negotiations?
Rantanen's contract expires on June 30, 2025. Suddenly it seems like it's still a long time, but for the top players, they start talking about an extension in good time.
This is what happens with Rantasen too.
- Negotiations haven't started yet. According to NHL rules, one year before the end of the contract, further negotiations can begin. They will probably start next summer, Rantanen tells Iltalehte at the table of a cafe in the center of Denver.
Is there an option to go elsewhere?
- Probably not. I have had very good years here. There are so many good players here. I'm only interested in winning, that's the most important thing. In this team, many players are in prime time, this team will be able to win in the next few years, 27-year-old Rantanen answers.
So based on this, a small home-town discount coming? I hope.. He doesn't want to leave it seems.

Which is ironic as hell because his next contract is what's going to officially end it.
ya , how much is the cap projecred to go up again or what is the projection un 2 years I wonderWhich is ironic as hell because his next contract is what's going to officially end it.

ya not likely unless Ritchie pans out in 2 years and a bit of luck in another reclamation guyNot enough to afford Rantanen at 13+, a proper 2C needed to win, and the depth required to win.
And let's not forget that new contract will certainly come with an NMC for a few years and then an M-NTC which will make it very hard to move once he starts regressing. He needs to go this summer IMO.Not enough to afford Rantanen at 13+, a proper 2C needed to win, and the depth required to win.
AND you're staring down the barrel of the biggest defenseman contract in NHL history.

Yeah, if we keep Rantanen, we must keep Ritchie and hope he pans out. Basically our only hope solving the center situation for cheap. So not exactly great situation.
He's sickApparently, EJ being held out at practice awaiting a trade maybe.
If the pro scouts can work their magic on an undervalued 2C, then that also offers hope for keeping guys.
And I dont think for second but that he RJ mistake is on the proscouts. Its not consistent with their handiwerk. It is, however, consistent with CM being cheap and having the Columbus connection.
Sam Bennett was once an undervalued 3C in Calgary. Zacha took a step forward in Boston also from where he was in NJ. And even look at guys who have recently turned the corner/are showing signs while remaining with their cirrent team. If the Avs can land a Sam Bennett the way Florida did, it would be huge.
Yeah that's probably not the value although that would be amazing.I kinda hope we keep him around, give him the LOC contract, if he'll take it.
