I never got the infatuation with this guy. He's already won Cups and when he first got to the mild, the coach started him in the playoffs instead of the other guy who was playing great and they ended up losing the series. He just hasn't been a great goalie for a while now.

Good for you guerin. You keep an asset that you could get something decent for only to just miss the playoffs. That's how you manage a team ! :sarcasm:
they're trying to make the playoffs. I think they will

They'd still be much, much better... he had near top 10 numbers with his most common partners being Luke Schenn and Tucker Poolman (his third most common partner was Myers that season). This board really underrates how good Quinn Hughes is. This is the first season he's had a decent partner since Tanev in his rookie season.
You take that back

We’re 3-0 against the Stars this season.

Right.

Their management saw them lose again, quite handily, to the Avs last night and decided to acquire the best RHD available on the market.

Whether we believe this moves the needle for them is irrelevant, the intent is what matters. They aren’t sitting on their hands, they are actively trying to close the gap and get better.

I admire teams that do this.

The Avs attempted to fix the hole. Ryjo just flopped on his face
Correct, but you can't continue to sit after failed attempt. We are not in rebuild mode, time is not our friend here. Got to be proactive and keep trying until it's fixed.

Someone needs to hack MacFarland's spotify account and start playing Pink Floyd's Time, Steve Miller Band's Time Keeps on Slipping, and make sure you delete Styx Too Much Time on My Hands.
Those are lyrics in Fly Like an Eagle.

Again, I can't help but wonder if MacFarland's inactivity is reflective of their strategy. We have several elite players, get into the playoffs, anything can happen.

Mighty Makar

I hate this fu*ken team

He has just over a week to do something. Hopefully he does.

He's been far better than Makar this year. I don't think it can really be argued. I think Makar is on a different level when he's playing well. Much like McDavid vs. Mack. McDavid is better, but Mack has definitely deserved the top player of the year recognition a couple of times.
Quinn Hughes is better always has been and Cale Makar is slowly realizing it and its hurting his game. Its also hurting him physically. Deep down Cale knows hes been fooling everyone and Quinn is the actual best dman in hockey.

Excuse you sir. The best dman in hockey is Zadorov, it’s just that you’ve got to give him some time to develop…he is still young

Dallas was also on the second game of a B2B and if you watch the game they were better than the Avs the first 40. They ran out of gas and Georgiev didnt fourgiev.
