Well there's our likely first round opponent adding a stellar d-man...c'mon CMac.

Division rival gets little better on defense with Tanev. Time for CMac to counter and trade for..

I am 0% afraid of Dallas, with or without Tanev. Good team, but just nowhere near the same caliber of top players. They are a great matchup for us.

I know someone will say 'same was said about the Kraken'. The Kraken play a similar speed style as us. Dallas don't. That only works if you're like Vegas and big and physical, which the Stars aren't really either. Plus, with Nuke in the lineup we win that series with an inferior team to this year.

Oettinger can get hot at any moment. Add known Avs killers throughout the lineup and a coach that owns Bedner. Well, that's enough to spark fear in a potential matchup.

Now go get Kerfoot and Bjugstad Cmac!

Yeah, Tanev doesn’t really move the needle for the Stars enough to scare me. Having said that, CMac better wake up soon because he does have to do something to improve the Avs

The Avs beat Seattle if they are healthy.

If the Avs are not healthy, they aren't beating anyone. That goes for any team, really.
With the greatest respect, since you're a great poster, but that 'if they are healthy' thing doesn't mean much to me...first, nobody is healthy in the playoffs. Injuries should be expected. Second, the Avs need quality forward depth precisely to cushion for that. The possibility of losing a Nuke-type forward should not doom the Avs' cup run in the first run as it did last year -- not when the stakes are so high and the window is so small. Look at Tampa -- they made it to the freaking finals against us in 2022 with Point only playing 9 playoff games.
lol you beat me to it.. read the edit.
I am afraid I only read new posts and therefore shan't be responding :sarcasm:

Avs get decent goaltending, and a semi healthy roster, and they should be able to beat Dallas in the playoffs. With or without Tanev, and maybe even with or without an Avs 2C trade.

Val is going to go nuts in a Dallas series.

Oettinger is the Stars best hope to make a run. He's sporting a 901 sv% this year and had a 895% last year in the playoffs.

By comparison, Georgiev has a 909% this year and a 914% last playoffs.
