As for notables, there's also that Johnston guy at pick 23...

In the 2nd round, there is Knies and Stankoven. Jackson Blake (Rd 4 in 2021 draft) and Stankoven were scoring monsters in these past playoffs to help Carolina land the Cup. Blake led the 'Canes in scoring in the playoffs with 20 points in 19 games as well as finished 3rd overall in playoff scoring.

I was pretty convinced him or Hughes was gonna be the pick. Leaned more on Hughes. Had smooth skating rangy and IQ , defensively is a mess but reminded me of Fowler in a lot of ways and could see Madden being a fan.

Both Ritchie/McTavish Bob Murray draft picks where he might have overridden Maddens opinion. Murray was clearly trying to draft his 2C to have behind 1C Zegras because previous draft he wanted his 1D Drysdale. All 3 guys below 6'1 is a pretty small trio and only 1 of them has elite speed (Drysdale).

Leo, Cutter, Sennecke is not only a bigger/ better trio but all 3 are fast as well.
