Toews at age 38 when he cant play anymore. Raddysh is a not a superstar or big name star. Yeah Tavares did come home and I respect him more and more every year because of it.
Crosby? Mackinnon? Point? Marner? Stone? Makar? Hagel? Bennett? Marchand? Reinhart? Stamkos? Pietro? Doughty?
None of our stars come home EXCEPT tavares so far. I want to see what McDavid does next because that will show if he wants to put a big stamp on his legacy.
It actually shows that they are loyal for the most part for the team that drafted them, right?
Marchand left because they weren't going to re-sign him, and he flat out stated that it was the money that made him go to Florida.
just like we don't talk about Bruno, we don't talk about Marner.
I don't know about Stone.
but the others are still... pretty much w/those teams who drafted them, or they priced themselvs to a point that a Canadian team can't afford to do it.
I said it somewhere, maybe reddit - McDrai seem very much like this gen's Getzlaf and Perry. they are most likely going to want to stay
together so you've got to have cap space for both and if for example McDavid
does want to play in Toronto, and Draistal does
not what happens. [this is what happened with Perry. He stated he was tempted to come to Toronto the first time he hit UFA, but Getzlaf didn't want to play in Toronto, so they stayed in Anaheim).
I would have to wonder as wel [as I said else where before) if I'm a Canadian team - am I even wasting my time drafting a US born kid right now.
Hanifin wanted to leave Winnipeg asap, Gaudreau and Tkchauk both split on Calgary. Hughes wanted out of Vancouver, Brady Tkchauk basically lied and is all "I love Ottawa, I love Ottawa, I don't wanna leave," until he's gone.
Like why bother? I'd just stick with Canadians (for the most part), Russians and Europeans.
